We took a day tour to Belfast and the Giant's causeway with Richie our guide and Paddy the driver. It was a great day. Richie was very knowledgeable on the subject and his speaking style was engaging and interesting. The Giant's causeway was excellent and our black taxi tour in Belfast was great also. My only letdown of the day was the food at our lunch stop, the Nook. It was not very good quality and overpriced. This was the second choice as Richie's preferred stop was having problems that day, so not a fault of Wild Rover. Thanks again Richie!

My wife and I took this tour as part of our honeymoon to visit Belfast and the Giant's Causeway. In Belfest we had the choice of the Titanic Museum or the Black Taxi Tour, and we chose the Titanic, which was excellent, but we were told by the other passengers that the Taxi Tour was excellent too. The Giant's Causeway was spectacular, and if you can only see one thing in N. Ireland, make it that. The tour guide was both interesting and entertaining, and he knew exactly what he was talking about. He didn't just drop us off and say, "See ya in two hours," he gave us information all the way up and all the way back. Plenty of rest stops, plenty of time at each sight, and a very accommodating atmosphere. Definitely worth booking if you're going to visit Ulster for a day.

My hubby and i did the day trip up to belfast and giants causeway, our tour guide was richie who was billiant!! he has a wealth of knowledge about the political past of Northern ireland and is happy to share it, he gave us a great history of the happenings of the troubles and managed to stay completely neutral about it whcih was impressive, you could seee that he has a passion for all of ireland in general and wants the best for both countries. The day trip included a political taxi tour which was also extremly interesting and the drive to giants causeway was just stunning - we were lucky enough to have a clear blue day!! Our young driver carl was exceelent too and made some impossible turns in tinys villages with great ease!!

on the whole it was an excellent day - we would definatly do another wild rover tour if we managed to get back to ireland sometime!!

thanks heaps richie and carl you guys were awesome!!!

My wife and I joined this tour during a long weekend in Dublin, and it was great. Robbie was our guide, and he did a wonderful job. He started telling us about the history of Ireland before we even left Dublin. We spent a total of 13 hours together, but he was informative and energized the entire time. We left Dublin, and traveled to Belfast where we had the choice of the Titanic Experience (I didn't know the Titanic was built in Belfast) or the Black Taxi Political Tour. We opted for the Black Taxi Tour, and really enjoyed the education that brought. Then we drove along the northern coastline, which was beautiful! After finally making it to Giant's Causeway, we were not disappointed. It was truly a remarkable piece of nature. If you find yourself in Dublin with a day to spare, I would definitely recommend this tour.

My husband and I went on the Kilkenny/Wicklow Gap/Glendalough tour yesterday. Our tour guide was Robbie and our driver was Joe. Robbie was informative, told great stories, gave great advice, and intertwined music into his fact/story telling, which was just wonderful! We opted to do the cave visit versus spending 3 hours in Kilkenny. We are from Virginia and have caverns in VA and in all honesty the caverns we saw yesterday weren't as impressive as the ones back home. And the tour guide in the caves was quite sarcastic, which isn't my taste in humor. Maybe it would have been better to spend 3 hours in Kilkenny? We still got to spend some time in Kilkenny, which we used up admiring the castle grounds and getting a bite to eat. If we had more time, I would have liked to do the walk to the cathedral and tour the castle. Next we drive to the Wicklow Gap, which was a true highlight. Although it was only a 10 minute stop, it was truly breathtaking! Next on to Glendalough, which was also wonderful. Make sure you join Robbie (or whoever your tour guide is) for the tour of the monastic site no matter what. We only caught the later half. We strolled to the first lake but were too tired to walk the additional 20 minutes to the upper lake. Although we came home exhausted, it was worth it!!
