“Brilliant location.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 March 2014

We stayed at the Arlington Hotel near O’Connell Street from 22nd March until 25th Match 2014. All we require from a hotel is that it is clean and comfortable and the Arlington Hotel was both. We arrived in the morning and were able to store our luggage until we checked in. The location of the hotel was excellent, just around the corner of O’Connell Street, which meant there was never far to walk and offered good views over the river.

The room was large, clean and comfortable. We never really heard any noise from any other occupant. A few areas where they could improve are they could get better pillows for the bed as I found then quite hard, and also all the reviews about the water temperature when showering are true. I always had the shower turned up to the very highest temperature but it fluctuated despite this.

The bar is excellent with live music every night. Breakfast was always good and ran by a very nice Irish lady. In fact all the staff we met both in the bar and the hotel were always friendly and helpful.

We did many excursions and visited many bars throughout our break but two things I should mention that were particularly excellent was The Old Storehouse where there was live music to go along with their excellent food and also The Comedy Crunch at the Stags Head which is a free comedy show and well worth a visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dublin and would defiantly return to the Arlington Hotel.

Paid £48 for the room. My partner and I along with our 18 week old baby. The staff were very nice and helpful. A bit of noise from the hotel along with street noise from the hostel in the ally outside our window but fizzled out by 11pm. Only stayed the one night. Think I would stay again if I couldn't get a decent price from another hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my husband. The first thing is its a great location. We got to the hotel at around 11o'clock our room wasn't ready as we excepted but we were told we could leave our luggage which was great as I didn't fancy taking it around Dublin with me as it was very busy. We went back later and checked in I was very pleased with the room very clean a great size with a massive bed, nice bathroom also very clean. There is a safe in the room which is free of charge. The hotel has a great bar, lovely atmosphere, drinks are a fair price compared to other bars around. We didn't eat in the hotel but the food did look nice. All in all a very nice hotel in a great location.

Stayed four days with my wife and even one year later, ready to warmly recommand this hotel .Well situated,in a walking distance of the main touristic points. Since the room we got was noisy we asked for a quiet one and there was absolutely no problem moving to a quiet one. We spent a nice evening of irish folk music and dancing accompanying a tasty diner, served by a smiling staff(as smiling and tasty as their english breakfeast). Conclusion: one of or best holidays.

I stayed here recently as a solo person and could not praise the hotel and staff highly enough.I booked last minute (unplanned journey) and got a very good deal.My first dealing with the hotel was meeting an excellent receptionist (ciara) who dealt with a sudden influx of customers in a pleasant, efficient & cheerful manner. Her demeanor & helpfulness continued during my 2 night 3 day stay. The room was nice and contained tea/coffee facilities, free wifi,tv,bathtub & hairdryer-all the essentials. The housekeeping staff could not have been more helpful-a credit to the hotel.I did not eat here due to external commitments but the menu looked very appetising.I will definitely return. Thanks to all

Flew in to the city to meet friends. Was surprised that they had booked an evening with Irish dancing.

It was great, the band and dancers were extremely good.

Food was tasty, well presented and plentiful.

Staff were attentive and quick to respond.

Would recommend this to anyone.

We booked an Irish evening dinner show with entertainment. Cost 33 euros per person. We got a 3 course meal with a free Irish coffee. The food was excellent, plenty of it, well cooked and the service excellent. There was an Irish group playing for over and hour then traditional Irish dancing for another hour. Overall excellent value for money and highly recommended.
