This hotel is in a fabulous location, overlooking the Liffey, a few steps from the halfpenny bridge, opposite Temple Bar and around the corner from O'Connell Street. There was a slight hiccup when we arrived, having booked a king room we were shown to a twin, but this was swiftly and apologetically sorted. We could have slept four in the bed! Ok the carpet was worn in places, but the room and linen were clean and there were a lot of freebies. Apart from wi-fi, tea and coffee facilities and toiletries, there was a safe, hair-dryer, trouser press and even an iron and ironing board! The breakfast was the best ever. Shown to our table by the lovely Carmel, there was a selection of bread, croissants, fruit juices, cereals, fresh fruit and yogurt, and a full English breakfast (with black and white pudding). Marvellous. There was entertainment in the bar each evening, (usually a duo) and downstairs there was the famous Celtic night. Lots of atmosphere, wonderful dancing and entertainment - unmissable.
Top marks Arlington, from your friendly staff, hotel facilities and wonderful location. Highly recommended.More
