Why the surprise? If you walk from O'Connell Street/bridge, your heart might sink as you think you are staying at the fire station, however, walk further on, to the entrance, and behind the doors you find a gem of a place. A warm welcome from concierge and reception desk. A lovely bar, inner courtyard for breakfast, chic decor, comfy rooms with hair dryer, safe, tea/coffee making facilities, ironing board, soft towels. Great for a couple if nights city stay, whether on a city break or business trip. Well done Trinity City/Capital hotel. Keep up the good work.

With our last stop in Dublin, we stayed at Trinity City Hotel. The whole staff was more than cordial and obliged with any requests. The superfluous knowledge Alex and Tony had to offer completed our experience. Our return is now inevitable.

I stay for one night and although I was traveling alone I got a room with to beds, these suggest not much organisation since other guest might need these kind of room.
The room had a good size and the bed was very confortable. The staff is very friendly and keen to help. Good food and bar, just perfect to relax and kick-off the night after a long day of work.
Location is very convenient, you are very close to good restaurants and bars.

Very good hotel, quick efficient service. Polite staff, rooms clean although perhaps a little basic. No AC, no minibar etc.

The beds were very comfortable and the showers powerful. Breakfast was a good selection (although no hash browns/breakfast potatoes)

The courtyard seating area was lovely but closed way too early.

All in all a good hotel in a central location.

Dear Natasha W

Many thanks for your recent review and I am delighted your found the Hotel to be well located within the city. While none of our rooms have fridges, almost 50% of our rooms now have air conditioning so when you do return please request one of our deluxe or executive rooms and we would be delighted to allocate one if they are available.

We booked the hotel thru Bookings.com. We booked 2 standard double rooms. It was a marathon weekend and the city was busy. One of the room was what they call a city room, very small. This room had no place for the language, you could touch the roof with your hand, the bathroom literally had practically no light, you had to keep the door open to get light inside.
We talked to the front desk and the gave us 2 breakfast free ($4.50 each). That was not what we had paid for

Pros: Beautifully appointed lobby; helpful staff; excellent breakfast; great location

Con: There was no air conditioning...we had to use a fan. Although it was April, the upper floor rooms can get a bit warm.
