We happened upon this dinner and show in the temple bar area. The food was great and the show was amazing! Try the salad and the desert! Bathrooms were not though. Can't say much about the hotel though. We didn't stay there. Reservations are recommended!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Arlington Hotel. We thought it was a great value, as we had breakfast included along with our room rate. The hotel is located right near Dublin Castle, making the location easily walkable to lots of Dublin attractions, pubs and restaurants. There is also a bus stop located right in front of the hotel, making it convenient to catch public transportation and get to and from the airport. The room itself was decent. I found it spacious compared to other hotels that I have seen in Europe. The room was a little noisy with the outside road noise and from adjoining rooms, but as bad as the heart of Temple Bar would be. The room also is very bare bones, not offering bar soap or tissues, which we ran out and bought. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Nicola helped us to book a sightseeing tour at the last minute and greeted us cheerfully every day. All and all, it was a great place to stay.

We went to the Celtic Night. All 38 of us. We had a good night. Our group was made up if our European partners a mixture of ages. Everyone had a great night. The food was okay not fantastic. Atmosphere was good and the staff extremely helpful. It was a Friday night and very busy and quite cramped. The show was okay. The dancers a bit jaded. The bad traditional.

This hotel is in a perfect location for all Dublin's attractions. I don't think you will find a better hotel for the money if you book from one of the many hotel booking websites. There are a few negatives, However I think these just add to the hotels charm. The one thing I would suggest would be invest in some ear plugs as it is an old hotel on a very busy main road. The noise of the city would have kept me awake if not for my Guinness head phones. About 6 pints should do the trick. The hotel staff were all lovely and friendly from the girl behind reception to the lads behind the bar. We did plan on going to comedy crunch on our last night but after saying we were going to have one drink in the hotel bar we stayed all night. This was because there was a fantastic duo in the bar. They really made our trip special. They were very good musicians and had us all in stitches with their funny stories. Next time I visit Dublin I will make sure I book in at The Arlington Temple Bar.

The hotel is well situated, walking distance to grafton st, o Connell st, Guinness storehouse, trinity college. At night the area is very noisy so made sleeping difficult at times.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room was clean and well equipped ( no shampoo though). Bed was massive and really comfy.
Breakfast was lovely.
We booked in to the Celtic night show, at e33.95. Had a lovely 3 course meal but felt a little cheated that we could have watched the show anyway without having the meal. When we booked we had asked for a table with the Guinness pumps on but when we were seated we were told that the pumps are only switched on in the summer. However it was a good night.
Would recommend and hope to return.

There is a few good things about this hotel which I shall mention first. The location is perfect, just a 2 minute walk down to the pedestrian area of temple bar, bus stops for tours and air link are literally on the doorstep and 10mins walking to either shopping areas.
As you go into the hotel friendly staff are there to greet you. Always said hello with a smile and it's a good example of how people who work in the hotel industry should be.
We did not have breakfast included with our room nut had the early flight I'm and couldn't check in till 2 so decided to just pay for a breakfast. Service again excellent and you got what you paid for. Good selection of cooked or continental.
The room we had was on the 3rd floor. The room was clean and functional all be in a little small.
Ok the negative. Now there isn't much and it's really to do with the room. as mentioned above the room was clean and functional but it was dated. There was a cigarette burn on one of thr seats, damage to the furniture and an iron burn on the floor. Bathroom was small, fixed shower so it was difficult for myself to get a shower as I'm quite tall. Cracked floor tiles as well again dated. The window opened and scarily opened fully with no guard to stop you falling out, very dangerous. Needs addressed as it's the 3rd floor. my main gripe is the fact the we took the option of a kingsize bed, looked good when we arrived then discovered it was just 2 single beds bolted together and covered with 1 large sheet. Very very uncomfortable and also there was only 1 bedsides cabinet and the bed was almost jammed against 1 wall. Since it was 2 single beds there used to be a gap in the middle and now not so we had to sleep with electrical sockets at out heads. also I'm sure the walls were paper thin as everything could be heard through walls!! Even someone walking down the hall was enough to wake you.
Dispite the room being the way it was the rest of it was good. We did get a half price deal on the room and to be honest I wouldnt recommend someone paying full price if that's what the rooms are like.

Food: breakfast....fab! Evening meals, very big, good and filling. Lovely!
