On arrival Fri 6th at the hotel 4pm ish we checked in with a miserable receptionist she hardly acknowledged us . Went to our room on 3rd floor it was very tired and dark and dank with rips in the curtains, sticky carpets but the worst was the bathroom ,the grout was filthy, the tiling too and the shower rail was rusty. The bed was very clean though and comfortable but you could hear the people in the next room all the time.Having said all that the bar staff and waiting on staff and chefs were all pleasant. Breakfast on Monday was overcooked and like leather. Wont be staying there again.

Dear Guests

I will take on board your comments constructively and I will speak to my receptionist who did not welcome you in a friendly manner. I am constantly reviewing bedroom stock and I have spoken to my housekeeping department - to be fair I have very few complaints but acknowledge that I do have three smaller bedrooms on each floor.

Thank you for mentioning my food and beverage staff in your review, I am somewhat surprised about breakfast as this is cooked to order, and so many guests tell me how much they enjoy it.

With Kind Regards

Graeme

Every single person of the staff at Parliament Hotel was exceptionally friendly and professional -- except for Mr. Cozmin Fatul, who unfortunately showed an incredible low service level during check-out. My partner and I had a really wonderful time in Dublin and we would definitely consider staying at Parliament Hotel again in the future; it is just a real pitty that our first stay ended this way.

Room tip: Located in the old medieval part of Dublin, close to Temple Bar and more

Very happy with this hotel. We arrived early and they were more than happy to keep our bags for us. The rooms are compact but clean and comfortable with toiletries and hairdryer provided. The breakfast is a choice of continental or full Irish €8.95/€9.95, a little pricy but the same as everywhere in Dublin. What was on offer was nice and certainly adequate. However, what made this a special stay for us was the bar and the entertainment provided. We stayed 2 nights and each night there was a different duo doing traditional Irish music and some contemporary songs interspersed with male and female Irish dancers. It was a great atmosphere and totally free. The drinks we no more expensive than anywhere and it was a good end to the evening to go back 'home' to fully enjoy the rest of the night knowing it was a short walk to the lift and bed!
The location is brilliant as it's a steady walk to Guinness and round the corner to Temple Bar. The Castle is straight across the road and Trinity College is right down the road and as it's a straight road you can spot the hotel from a fair distance which helps to encourage tired legs!
A nice aspect was when we were in reception awaiting the rest of our party, the receptionist showed an interest in where we had been and offered some advice. That was a nice and friendly thing to do. They also kept our bags after check out for our later flight. Would recommend without hesitation and would try to book again should we come to Dublin again.

I am delighted that you enjoyed our superb location and our Traditional Irish Music Show. We certainly try to offer very good value for money in one of Europe's nicest cities.

Our receptionist team are very friendly and are interested about your stay and will always offer you advice when you are asked. Thank you for your kind words and on behalf of the hotel I look forward to welcoming you soon.

brilliant location, clean rooms but a bit dated, had a room on the second floor facing the road, very noisy had little sleep for 3 nights i am a light sleeper but the traffic noise was terrible all night long. couldn't ask for a better location right next to Temple Bar, a short walk from Grafton st. rooms were cleaned every day with clean towels. would stay again but would have to have a room out the back.

Room tip: ask for a room away from the main road.

Dear Jak M

As you are aware we plan to have a major refurbishment this year and this will resolve the room noise issues that you had in your room. Lord Edward Street is a very busy street but I can ensure you that it is much quieter than the Temple Bar Area - which we are only minutes away from.

With Kind Regards
