“Noicy, not for a good nights sleep.”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

The service and room are nice, the location very good. On the website they tell you they have a nightclub. The club itself was no problem. The problem was the noice from the outdoor beer garden on the backside. And from the queuing people on the street outside the hotel, for the nightclub. There was up to hundred youngsters standing there blocking the entrance to the hotel and they were not quiet.

The hotel also had some rebuilding in an adjoining house. They were hammering from 08:00 to 18:00 so even my siesta was disturbed.
Don’t stay here if you are over 25 years of age and want to sleep.

The hotel is very tired and needs a total redo. The carpets are worn, the beds are horrible and there is constant noise from the street level and from the bar area below. We were on the 5th floor but the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor, lugging our luggage up 2 floors was an issue.
One of the patrons stated a fire in her room at 3:30 AM and set the alarms off, very scary in such an old hotel!!!
Stayed 3 days and We never got any sleep in this place!!!

A good hotel close to everything. Let down by noise of nightclub patrons after 11.30. If you book make sure your room is at the back, as the noise is continuous. We quite like the city noises of trams, traffic and such but people noise all night is not conducive to sleep. Service, food and rooms are all good

Room Tip: Choose a back room and get explicit directions to the. Car park. The reception called it royal coll...

I stayed at this hotel because a nearby one, that I usually stay at, was fully booked. The first impression was not bad, however the stuff was not very helpfull with informations at check-in.

The room was clean, but very small, with tiny window on the street. The breakfast buffet was included in the room price and it was quite extensive with both cold and hot foods, howvere the menu was not changing from day to day during the 4-night stay.

There was no Internet connection in the room, and the WiFi signal was at the lobby only.

The downfall of this hotel is the nightclub in the basement and the other clubs on the same street. I knew of the nightclub when I booked so I asked for a room on a higher floor and opposite side of the building, but it did not help much. At 3am the people from all the nightclubs spilled onto the street and stayed there up to 4:30am... My colleague, who slept in the room over the nightclub, said that the music at the club was very noisy and she could not sleep at all.

I would not recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a good nights sleep or comes in business. Check my other Dublin's hotel review for much better recommendation.

Room Tip: Frankly, there are no good rooms in this hotel.

Drear Sir, we advertise free WiFi in all the bedrooms as well as the public areas.
If there was a problem with the reception I wish wee heard about it at the time and we could have got it checked out. it does not cover the likes of Netflix, but there is a booster Premium service also available at a small additional cost that will pick up everything.

Very central location, staff were very friendly and accommodating.rooms were very basic and dated and prices were a bit saucy for what we got, think the price was something to do with a certain boy band in town that night.not sure I would stay here again.

Good location. Rooms basic. Not family friendly because asked to leave bar at 10pm because of children. No option of residents bar. Room next door very noisy but as soon as a complaint made, reception dealt with it quickly. Small bathroom for 5.

Just stayed two nights in this hotel. The location of this hotel is perfect, on walking distance from Stephens Green. Room was average, but ok. What annoyed us very much was the noise from the hotel bar guests, who went outside to drink, smoke, and talk loudly until at least 3 o'clock at night.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but went instead to a very nice place called Liberté, just around the corner in Upper Hatch Street, in an old station building. In fact, we liked it so much we came back for dinner the same night.
