“I Love this hotel!”
Reviewed 14 July 2009

My friend and I came to Dublin for a vacation and stayed the whole time at the Harcourt. The price was great and it is a very beautiful place. The room was small but that is typical for Europe. It was clean and comfortable. I don't understand what everyone is talking about with the noise. Our room was right over the nightclub and we kept the window open all night. We rarely heard any noise at all, and when we did it was not a big deal. I did read reviews about the hotel before booking though and it did mention that there was a nightclub. I have no complaints. The staff is wonderful and will do anything for you. I would definitely stay there again.

i regurlarly stay at the harcourt hotel, as it is great location in the centre of dublin close to all shop's and night life , rate 's are good mid- week the hotel also have the shawcourt apartment which are great for large group bookings and familys. room's are simple and standard and clean, bathroom's a little small depending on the room your staying in. breakfast is a little expensive for a continental room service as it's €10.50 not inc room service charge, The hotel also has a popular night club D2, opened from wed true sat so room's can be affected by noise, and from harcourt street as it also has another four night clubs! as i stay there for the night life it doent really bother me.

Myself and 4 other ladies stayed here on our first and last night while staying in Dublin on a 10 day tour. It was in a great location, close to shopping, restaurants, pubs, late bars and the park too! Great value and extremely nice service at the front desk. Good breakfast buffet and would recommend for the price. They let us check in early both times too!

The location of this hotel is great - not too far a walk for the main city. The price also wasn't too bad - not high end but not cheap as chips either, so we expected a sort of middle standard hotel. Our room was very small for a triple, the tv was tucked away in a corner and the screen was tiny - and it wasn't even tuned! The shower alternated between lukewarm and ice cold - of it's own volition. The worst part was that the hotel is associated with the dl2 nightclub and has an extensive outside area at the back. This was really nice in the day, but our room overlooked it and at night it was horrendous. We could hear the noise until four or five am out there - and we weren't enev warned of this when we made the booking or when we checked in. I was very disappointed with this hotel, for the service we received and the state of our room we should have got it for nothing! I would never, ever stay here again and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I stayed at the Harcourt. It is in a great location, and was not that expensive. However, the Harcourt is located in the same building/overlooking a night club. You can hear the nightclub until about 4 am. You can also hear EVERYTHING inside the hotel because the walls are paper thin. If you want to sleep, DO NOT STAY HERE.

The hotel has a great location right by St. Stephen's Green. The rooms are typical, nothing special. What stands out about this hotel is the price, cheap for Dublin. However, be forewarned that the hotel bar has a large outdoor garden area which can get quite noisy at times.

We stayed 2 nights at the Harcourt Hotel and the overall experience was good.

We had 2 single rooms and 2 double - and were happy to see that we got twin as single and triples for the double occupancy - so we had more space.

The bathrooms were nice, clean and modern.
Beds were comfortable.

If you have a room to the frontside you will hear the noises during the night from the street - be prepared, that there is a taxis stop nearby and many people are waiting.
The hotel provide earplugs in every room - if you miss them - ask at the reception - they know about the problem.
Rooms to the backyard are quiet.

We stayed there from Sunday until tuesday - so the bar nearby was not open - but I have heard that you hear the sound from the bar.

We ate breakfast at the hotel - cont. breakfast for 6,95 € is nice (with cereals, tea/coffee/milk, fresh fruits, fruit compote, toast, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt). Full english breakfast is available for add. 3 €.

Staff was friendly, check in was fast.

The hotel is easy to reach from the airport - the busstop line 16 A is within 200 m.
To the city Center (Grafton Street, Trinity College) it is just a 10 minute walk.

I would stay here again.
