“November breakaway”
Reviewed 25 December 2013

Having stayed here 3yrs ago,i knew what to expect. The hotel is near to the centre and i found the staff very friendly.Got in early on arrival and was let into room straight away(depends on availability) which after a long journey was fantastic.Room was cosy and if you wanted a lie in after the night before drinking the great guinness,a do not disturb sign was provided. The car park at the rear is small but secure.Good hotel for a family reunion and the christmas lights in the shopping areas are amazing. On departure, you can leave your luggage at the hotel to give more time to explore Dublin without carrying it around.Only issue was a refurbishment was going on my floor that week and no notice was given.Except for that i would recommend this hotel to family/friends.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear of the hotel are quieter.

We stayed here for 4 nights in December 2013 and have to say this was a wonderful experience from the very first moment we entered the hotel we was made to feel very welcome and everyone was always happy. The room was of a very high standard for a 3 star hotel i have stayed in worse 4 star hotels in Europe. The bar was another plus for us as they had plenty of selection for food and drink and was reasonably priced. It is also bang in the city centre so close to all the bars and restaurants and the main shopping street. Temple bar is about 5-10 mins walk. I would defiantly recommend this hotel for anyone going to Dublin.

Very noisy hotel with terrible smell of smoking in bedroom. Got up a few times during the night to spay deodorant etc to try to get rid of smell. Left the window open but did not help. So bad my clothes and hair smelt of smoke next day.

Great location for a stay in Dublin minutes from the main O'Connell Street. The reception staff throughout were excellent couldn't have asked for any more helpful with tips for getting about. We were given an upgrade to an executive suite, it was a very nice room, but wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Getting to the room 254 was a hike, we thought the receptionist was joking when she said she could give us a map. The room was very clean and towels was as you wanted them changed.
We only had breakfast each day in the hotel. There is a choice of Continental at Euro 6.50 or Full for Euro 8.50. We had the Continental each day which was excellent. Choice of 6 trays of fruit, croissants, cereals, 1 choice each of ham and cheese (both very tasty), choice of white/brown breads, jams/marmalade, fruit juice, coffee/tea.
The hot breakfast consisted of bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, white/black pudding, baked beans and any other egg by request.
Didn't use the bar or have an evening meal. There is a computer for visitors use - 10 mins per 1 Euro.

We had a lovely stay at this Hotel from the 8th Nov to the 11th, Room was good size clean and comfy and the breakfast was delicious,Staff were great and the Bar sold the best pint of Guiness I tasted during my stay in Dublin. Within walking distance of all attractions and places of interest, could not fault this Hotel better than a three star in my opinion.

Room Tip: Trinity Colleage and Gaol are a must, also try the old storehouse in temple bar area.

The hotel was lovely, the staff can't do enough for you. We had one problem with the shower which we called reception about and it was sorted within the hour. Every day we went out and would come back to fresh towels and the beds made by housekeeping. The food is delicious very high standard. The hotel itself is very warm and homely and the bed was soo comfy! There is 24hr reception and the residents bar even stays open until 1.30am! The hotel is right on the main road for shopping in dublin so we were able to go shopping and then drop our stuff of and be back out within minutes! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We will be back without a shadow of a doubt!
