Booked this hotel after reading the reviews on here, Was not disappointed, All the staff were friendly and helpful, whether on reception, in the breakfast room or housekeeping.
Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with lots of choices. Ate far too much!
The hotel was in a good location only a few mins walk to the main areas of the city.
Would highly recommend,

We were looking of a nice weekend away in Dublin. The hotel was perfect. Great location, away from the hustle and bussel of Temple bar but only 5 mins to the action.

Perfectly clean.
Rooms a great size.
Great value for the price we paid.

Room Tip: The hotel will look after your bags when you arrive if your room is not ready and also once you have...

We stayed at Cassidys for three nights, and as soon as we arrived were impressed with the friendly staff, great location and traditional feel to the hotel. We got a great deal which included flights through ebookers, so we got our room at a very low price.

We were on the second floor, and found our room to be a good size, with a comfortable bed and a basic bathroom. Our ben linens weren't changed in the three nights we were there, but our towels were. If there is one thing we would say, it is that the location means you can hear traffic and noise from the main road, so if you'd be bothered by that maybe ask for a room away from the front of the hotel.

Proximity wise, it is super close to shops, places to eat, theatres, cinemas etc. the bar downstairs has a basic menu but the food is tasty, plus the staff are very attentive. If the hotel was to improve it could maybe update the decor to make the rooms feel a bit more modern, plus if they have decided not to change linens other than with each customer, they should probably explain why (i.e better for the environment) as it makes you unsure if they actually change the bedding between customers when they don't get changed when you're staying there.

Overall, really happy with our stay and would recommend for those looking for an affordable hotel that is in a great location.

Room Tip: Ask to be placed at the back of the hotel if you want a quieter room.

Having never been to Dublin and not having a great deal to spend, this hotel looked like a great place to stay for a relatively reasonable price considering the location which is just above the main O'Connell street. Upon arriving (4 hours before normal check in time I might add) we received a friendly welcome and although able to leave our bags in their luggage store we had no need to as our room was ready, great start by all accounts!

The room was quite standard but nothing to complain about other than it was a bit stuffy. Opening the windows gave us a wiff of the food cooking in the kitchen beneath us but as it smelt good we weren't that bothered.

We had a room at the back of the hotel so it was relatively quite just the sound of seaguls and other birds to wake you up in the morning. The beds were quite comfortable and additional pillows were available on top to the wardrobe (in a plastic case) which was good.

The room had an on suite with bath and the shower although not a power shower was a lot better than the normal dribble you can get (i managed to wash the shampoo out of my hair in no time!).

The breakfast is good too. Basic full 'Irish' at €9.50 if you don't opt for bnb (get a voucher from reception for €1pp off) but plenty of it and all you can eat buffet style (they also do a basic continental for €7.50 less €1 if you get voucher).

The restaurant prices are quite reasonable although we found the menu a bit brief, food was nice though so I would say take a look. The serving staff were nice.

Overall the service was good, the hotel clean and the location great for public transport or not too bad for walking.

Would stay there again.

The hotel is located a stones throw away from one of the main streets in Dublin, O'Connell Street, and from there the city is right on your doorstep.

The staff were friendly and helpful at all times and the rooms were clean and spacious. My little sister had never been abroad before and she genuinely loved the hotel - she could have stayed for longer!

This trumps the other hotel I had stayed in in Dublin hands down, not only in terms of location but affordability and convenience too.

Cassidy's is very convenient to Dublin city centre. Close to shops, restaurants, theatres and cinemas. Staff are very helpful and courteous. My room was very comfy and clean. Breakfast nice but not terrific.

Room Tip: Ask for no smoking room, if required.

I stayed at Cassidy's Hotel Dublin, in November 2013 for three nights. I was greeted by lovely, helpful staff in a beautiful reception. The rooms were lovely and the breakfast was 10/10. I would advise smokers not to book a smoking room though as the room I stayed in was over powering with stale smoke when you walked in. Apart from that small factor I could not fault this hotel. As a frequent visitor to Dublin it was in the best location. 15 minutes taxi ride to the airport, 5 minutes walk to the city centre and close to local shops and supermarkets.

Room Tip: Not a smoking room!
