Decent hotel right in the center of the city. Very sparse though and lacking character.

I just came from a short trip to Dublin and I have both good and bad things to say regarding Booms Hotel:

On the good side, this Hotel has probably the best location in Dublin city center. Its in the heart of the Temple Bar area, about 100m from Trinity College.

On the other hand, Its noisy, very noisy, couldnt sleep with the windows open even if you are on the 5th floor as we were. The beds are also very small, I'm 1.89m tall and could not fit inside. By the time we were there, It was hot in Dublin, and as we could not open windows during the night due to the heavy noise outside ( from the aircon machines of the Disco M) we did not really rest along the night.
It also looked to me quite expensive for the service provided, NO WIFI on rooms, only in the common areas, low water preassure in the shower and small bed.

I would look for another deal next time in Dublin, although as I said, location is perfect.

Room Tip: the lower the room, the noisiest it will be, cannot sleep with the window open.

I went with a friend on vacation in Dublin - we booked 5 nights at this hotel. It was in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We spent most of our time out of the hotel - we were so exhausted each night that we passed out. If you plan on hanging around in the hotel a lot, this is probably not the place to go. The rooms are bare and the noise level at night is very loud. We liked it because it was economical and in a great location. But, if you're just looking for a place to sleep like we were, then I would recommend this hotel.

P.S. The VAT House Bar that is connected to the hotel was really fun, very relaxing place to hang out - and they had great food!

First two nights w/out the club were fine (need a curved shower rod for small shower though), but all was lost the night the club beneth the 1st level started. Literally sounds like a nightclub in your room. Hotel really needs to charge 25% of cost of top fllors and let you know when you are booking. Don't let them put you on the 1st floor - call ahead!! Location was solid though.

Dear dj0024
Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We have notice on all booking engines and our website informing customers that we are in the city centre, the heart of temple bar. We have a nightclub in operation every friday and saturday untill 3am and that their will be a certain level of noise intrusion and these nights.
I am very dissapointed that you rated us so bad for servive, you did not mention this on your review. We at Blooms Hotel take great pride in our customer service and it traditionally is one of our many fortes.
Kind Regards

We didn't sleep at all in this hotel, luckily the manager agreed for us to not pay for the second night and we went and stayed elsewhere and had the most amazing time in dublin. We were upset however that the manager would not authorise any discount at all on our first night. Good if you just want a base to plonk your suitcase and have a shower to go out but not if you actually want to sleep. The only plus side is the VAT house bar. Amazing staff there .

Dear Leanne,
Thank you for your feedback. We are in the city center and we also have a club and a bar as part of the hotel complex. We inform all our guest on booking that there may be some noise intrusion and as you were also informed. I am very dissapointed that we rated so badley with you this time. To say I did not offer any discount is totally incorrect I waived the entire fee for both your rooms to the value of €238.
We do indeed boast a fantastic bar, The Vat House Bar and I would like to thank you for acclaiming it.
