The best place to stay. The location is the best , here we are near every where! Temple bar, Crischirch, st Patrick's, Dublin castle, Grafton street.... everything!
The breakfast is enough and good.
The worst is the size of the bedroom.
Next time in Dublin we absolutely stay at Blooms hotel.

We booked the place as we did not have much time in town and wanted to be close to the attractions and buses to and from the centre.
Online the rooms look better but were adequate, although they could be a bit cleaner and the smell of strong cleaning liquid was overpowering when entering the room.
The area is quite noisy even during the night which is neither a surprise nor the hotel's fault.
The reception staff was relatively friendly, though not actually giving the feeling that one is welcomed.
Surprising, although somewhere in the small print are the additional 50EUR deposit and 2EUR/baggage storage fee.
The adjacent pub is probably one of the nicest in the area.

I stayed here for 3 nights in March 2014. I chose it because of the location and had expectations of mediocrity based on reviews I had read and the price relative to other hotels in the area. I was there with my girlfriend and what we wanted was a clean room in the right part of the city. In that regard this place was perfect. Super easy to get to and from the airport on the 747 express bus which stops basically right outside the door. Location is amazing for sightseeing, shopping and pub crawling, we did plenty of all 3. The Vat pub attached to the hotel is a great place for a Guiness as well. We walked everywhere and it wasn't a problem at all. We had a Dubliner give us a list of the pubs where we would get the best local experiences and picked 5 per night to crawl and we never ended up being more than a 6-7 minute walk from the hotel.
Keep in mind that this comes at a price in that it's not that quiet at night. It's not super raucous but it's in the busiest part of the city so....

Only reason this place doesn't get an "Excellent" rating is because the staff were a little lazy and indifferent. But they were nice enough and we weren't there to be doted on. We had an amazing time in Dublin!!

If I went back to Dublin I would consider staying here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights in March and found it very good overall. The hotel is noisey but thats to be expected in city centre, plus the hotel has a bar, open to the public and en route for the pub crawlers.Aside that.Great staff.Great service.Had a problem with closing the window. We was on the ground floor and i felt unsafe.I reported it and it was delt with promply.Room was clean, bed comfy.Couldent fault it.Breakfast was buffet style.all fresh with a good selection.Great stuff! well done Blooms...

Room Tip: Choose top floor to minimise noise

the rooms and hotel look super cute online. In person, the hotel is adequate. the room was clean and quiet. There is only free wifi in the lobby and bar (unless it is a weekday when you will get it in your room as well).

Stayed here for 4 nights in March 2014. We had a spacious room on the first floor. Our flight arrived very early and the receptionist was kind enough to let us check in early for a shower as our room was ready. Great room, comfy bed. Perfect location to walk everywhere in Dublin. Super easy to catch the airport 747 bus and the hop on hop off bus. We didn't eat in the hotel but we did find an awesome pub 5 mins walk away called O'Neills which we loved.

The only criticism I have is 2/4 mornings at about 7:30am the keg truck arrived and listening to kegs being rolled on cobblestones was very annoying however it only lasted for half an hour. If I were the hotel I would try to organise that to occur later in the day/morning as if you were itching for a sleep in it might be a bit hard as we woke up early most days anyways.

We will stay again!!

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for your review.

I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. I apologise profusely that you were disturbed in the morning, but it was a council truck collecting rubbish and not from the hotel. I do hope to welcome you back again.

Kind regards,

The rooms are quiet and clean, the hotel staff are friendly. There is an Irish pub attached to the hotel that offers Irish food and music nightly. The bathrooms are more spacious than typical hotels in Europe and plenty of hot water :}
The only thing missing was complementary breakfast in the morning...
