Isur family of 4 stayed for 4 nights in june. We wanted to stay in a castle in the UK but still be handy. We found clontarf on the net and are glad we did. Our rental GPS didn't quite get it right but wow! Fabulous to drive up to!
Was very impressed with the ambience and reception service help with bags etc.
Our room was well appointed and clean and tidy. Even though we had booked for 4 people it was only set for 3 but this was soon remedied. Breakfast was a delight. The full Irish is a great way to start the day.
Concierge helped us get the hop on hop off bus and we were in central Dublin in no time.
The bar/restaurant was nicd. Good service and ok prices. It was nice to sit on the deck and in the little nooks.
There was some noise from the bar one night but it didnt last long.
Its a simple walk to the waterfront and a lovely restaurant called the Yacht.
The hotel gave me a sewing kit and sold me a stamp and even posted my postcard. Seems this isnt hotel standard in the UK!
The decor is gorgeous although in parts its a little worn _ especially hall and stair carpets and room bathrooms
Had a great stay and will certainly be back if we can!
We ate in the bar and enjoyed drinks on the deck. There was a bit of noise from the bar one night but it didn't go late.
We loved all the decor and little nooks and crannies. And the places to sit outside.
The concierge was helpful and we easily got the hop on hop off bus to the center of Dublin.
The hotel is in a lovely area. It is a short walk to the waterfront and a great restaurant called the Yacht. Easy to get to Dublin and plenty of free car parking!
Parts of the hotel are worn looking especially the carpet on the stairs and the room bathrooms. It didn't detract from our experience though
I was also given a sewing kit when I needed some running repairs. And they
