I regularly stay at this hotel, it is situated very near to Heuston railway station, it links with a taxi rank, bus terminal and the Luas tram line to connect to the city centre.

It is very close to Guinness brewery, their museum and Victoria park, this makes it ideally situated. The hotel is very clean and the rooms modern and spacious with En suite facilities and good restraunt which is 2 rosettes, and excellent bar meal should you require them.

It has free Wi-Fi in the rooms which gives good connectivity.

One would expect a four star to have gym facilities, complimentary bottled water in the room, more tv channels on offer, a business centre where guests can print, scan, access a PC etc. most other 4 stars I have visited have most of the above.
This hotel has a good location for transport links and to some of the best tourist spots. This is however the only reason I would stay here again.
The restaurant serves a good selection of meals, bit was over priced for what you get. Full breakfasts provided a good variety.
Overall the hotel lacked that special something.

Thank you for your comments about your stay at the Ashling Hotel. It is regrettable that you felt the hotel lacked that something special. With regards to your comment about the business centre, we do not have one as such. However there are two surfboxes to the right of our reception area that are for guests use. Here guests can search the internet, complete online check ins and print boarding passes etc. We do not have a gym, but we have a concessionary fee into a local gym for guests, which is within a 10 minute walk, and we also have the Phoenix Park at our doorstep for runners and walkers. I would hope that you would give us another chance to possibly change your thoughts about the hotel.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in what we thought was a 4star hotel well our room was far from 4star standard we had rust stains in the shower black holes/marks also in the shower and marks on the walls, one of the beds was in a corner of the room where we were unable to see the tv,the room was very old fashioned we expressed our disappointment the next day and were told that that's what we booked a "standard room" well it was far from 4star standard, we were moved after one night but the traffic noise all night was terrible, I must say though food was excellent but definitely won't be returning

Stayed here for one night on business. Chose it because of location close to client's offices.
The hotel was a fairly typical international hotel - nice, but not a huge amount of character. However, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. Not a perfect location for the centre of town, but very close to the tram. The Guinness was pretty good too...
Would certainly stay here again.

my family and i stayed in the ashling in November for my sisters graduation. we had a 3 person room and my parents had a double room. the staff were really helpful with setting up a taxi to take us to the RDS early in the morning. the breakfast was amazing lots of choice, we also had dinner in the restaurant which was very affordable. the location is great for shopping a short walk to the luas stop.

we found this hotel on the recommendations on trip advisor and we were very pleased we did.
The hotel was well worth the money and staff were extremely friendly and professional.
The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable, only down side no fridge.
we were very impressed with the range on offer for breakfast and the quality was excellent.
After breakfast we just had a lovely walk into the city centre along the river liffey, 20 mins later we were in the centre of town. Great all round. Would recommend you visit the pub 5 mins walk called ryans bar, say hi to daniel the young barman, who was so friendly.
Try and get the local bus from the hotel to the airport only 6 euros single or 10 euros return as taxis are a rip off.

Clean, comfortable room with plenty of hot water in the shower. Very quiet. Located across the street from the bus to the airport, buses to take you all over the city and the LUAS. Pleasant staff. Very good value for the money.

Room Tip: We faced the back of the hotel and the room was very quiet.
