the disco, is forwarned for anyone that has looked up the reviews of this place, and the tv does go over the noise. ! the people at the desk are friendly, and helpful when asking about food places and all sorts of questions ! clean bathroom, comfortable bed, and all ! you get extra things when you ask for them, and for ANYONE that says there was no lights in the room, should probaley take a look for the thing that in our room was next to the door, that you put your room card in to get the lights on ! and you keep it in until you need to leave the room, simple as !
no complaints, anyone who complains probaley stays at 5 star hotels the whole time , this is on a great street, amazing location ! great people, we will definitely be back again !

This hotel is more like a Hostel with private rooms. Very basic, not well maintained but fantastic location and friendly staff. Will stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights Sat & Sun 2 & 3 June 2012. The hotel is directly above a disco. At midnight the volume of the music and people shouting became intollerable. The TV in the room could not be heard above the noise. This continued until 3am. No warnings about this were given in the hotel literature. When we complained about the noise we were told "younger people tend not to mind" (I am 57). On Sunday morning I was assured that the disco was only on Friday and Saturday evenings as I had said that I would rather move hotels than suffer another night of noise. To my horror at midnight on Sunday evening the disco started again until 3 am. No staff could be found to take responsibility for this. Unless you intend to combine your visit to Dublin with all night partying, then this hotel should be avoided like he plague. It is the worst hotel experience of my life, the Bates Motel would be preferable.

Deluxe? Puh-lease.
Room was three single beds that you could feel the springs through.
No art on the walls at all, just empty nail holes.
Took them 2 days to fix a toilet that literally ran a stream of water onto the floor every time it was used.
Flat denied a request for extra towels.
Bathroom lighting is dismal.
No way to adjust room temperature, or even open windows.
Completely unreliable internet.
Bed is bottom sheet and comforter that smelled like the cover hadn't been washed, no top sheet at all.
Huge club next door, don't expect to sleep through the booming base and consistent fire alarm activation.
Front desk staff is absolutely worthless for directions, nearby food or attractions, or getting anything done with the room.
Can't wait to get out of here.

Stayed at the so-called Camden Deluxe on Fri & Sat May 4-5 2012. The area is a bit shabby but staff were quite nice and helpful when we asked directions etc. Room had a strange bed setup with one gigantic king bed and one tiny single bed. Room was actually pretty clean and beds were quite comfortable with nice comforters. That was all that was good about it - lighting in the room is awful with one dim light high in the ceiling and one very poor bedside lamp (they did provide another lamp when it was apparent the single bed was also being used). The light above the sink in the bathroom didn't work. TV was awful - tiny old thing bolted high up practically on the ceiling - as if anyone would want to steal it!! No pictures or decor of any kind and no drawers. The absolute worst thing was the horrendous NOISE which continued for the ENTIRE NIGHT - people shouting and talking on the street in an incredibly loud babble which made it impossible to sleep. The window might as well have not even been there. Dublin was a very interesting city and would love to visit again but will make sure and save up so I can spend extra for accommodation. Hotels are expensive there. I usually do go for bargain rates but in this case it definitely wasn't worth it!

Room Tip: As others have noted, maybe the noise and the partying is not as bad mid-week as on the weekend. Or...

The staff were so so so great, there was one lady at reception that couldn't do enough for you !
Now the building leaves a little to be desired as in its slightly dated but it is so much better than ANY bed and breakfast I have stayed in, the room was big, clean and had great showers !
There is a cafe joined down stairs and it does great pancakes and coffee ! I will defiantly stay again for the value and oh the location is in real Dublin near great pubs and restaurants and not temple bar but near ! Its a 15 walk to the center of Dublin but i still love this location if your avoiding students and tourists and want to taste real Dublin.
