This hotel was very reasonably priced and was clean. It is close enough to walk to the main attractions and it feels safe. The front desk folks, especially Tanvir, were very helpful and nice. I would stay here again when I come back to Dublin.

We were based of the top floor which was very tiring dragging your suitcase up 6 flights of stairs. My room was very outdated from the TV to the bathroom suite. It was in a good location and I wouldsay this is a B&B rather than a hotel. Hopefully when you book you will get the refurbished room which is what my friends had.

Close to the centre of the city, it was a great place, perfect for our three-night trip. The bus from the airport stops just in front of the hotel, that is very easy to find.

The rate was 39 EUR w/breakfast per night the hotel staff were so kind to give us a room even before the usual check-in time. Our room was on the second floor without lift, but it was not a problem at all. The room was absolutely clean and even if it faced the street, it wasn't very noisy. The only uncomfortable thing was the lack of a baggage rack and no other place where to put your baggage, except the floor.

The breakfast was good: there was the choice between Continental and Irish ones. Despite the juice was very watery, the overall was more than acceptable.

The neighbourhood is totally safe, even at late night, full of tourists and lots of other hotels.

I'd stay there again if back in Dublin.

Room Tip: Double rooms always face the street. Single and triple rooms always face the backyard that is very s...

We stayed there one night after a 9 day tour of Ireland, having stayed at B&B's all over Ireland. The rate was 42 Euro which is an excellent value. The room was on the bottom floor in back and it was very nice, cool, clean. Breakfast was a full Irish breakfast. The front desk person was extremely helpful and allowed us to use his personal phone for a short call. The location is excellent, close to all the attractions. The pub downstairs is a great little place, very good beer at a great price. We will definitely stay there on our next trip to Dublin.

Room Tip: Get a room on a lower floor in back.

A bit outside of the center, but a great place to stay. Very clean. Restaurant injouse, but glad we only had one meal there. Breakfast very basic. Quite noisy as you can hear people from other rooms, live music in the restaurant as well as the cars ... OK for the price, but not more than that

For the price of the hotel I was pleased with our stay. However there are several improvements that could be made. The major annoyance during our stay was how hot the room was, no matter what time of day it was you were sweating when in the room, this is likely to be because they have the heating on at the end of May! As it was so hot we were forced to keep the window open which then caused a great amount of noise, not from people walking passed but the traffic itself - obviously this can't be helped but they should try and sort out the temperature problem.

Other than this the room was very clean, shower was hot and we had our bed made and clean towels everyday. The staff were polite and generally everything was excellent.

My Mother and I stayed in the Maple Hotel on the night of Monday 20th May and we had a really lovely time while there. Neither of us would be very familiar with Dublin City but we found the place with absolutely no problems at all.
We arrived in the door to be warmly greeted and welcomed by the girl on reception and check-in was done smoothly in a matter of minutes. She then took the time to tell us a little about local attractions etc and directed us towards our room. Our twin room was on the second floor and when we opened the door we found it to be a nice bright and airy room. There was a single and double bed in the room and both had nice clean white linen bedclothes and lovely bright red throws and cushions to match. There was lots of space in the room for your bags etc and a decent amount of hangers to hang up your clothes. En-suite was fine, very clean and well kept. We weren't long checked-in when we met the Proprietor and he gave us a lovely welcome and chatted to us for several minutes about this and that - made us feel very at home.
We went for a stroll shortly after and realised just how near the Maple is to everything. In a matter of minutes we were on O'Connell Street and we had a lovely walk around exploring and some food too. Back to the Maple, a quick freshen up and we headed down to Ned Keenan's Bar which was a highlight of our trip away. What a great place! Full of character and a pub that I wish was my local! The complimentary pints of Guinness went down a treat - Nice touch! Have to say, Mossy the Barman is some character and he couldn't do enough for us that night - from cracking jokes to taking photos for us - Legend! ....and he pours a decent pint too!
The Proprietor was also there too and mingled with us for most of the night, a great man to talk to and with great stories. I'd say they have lots of regulars coming in - was nice to hear the bit of banter between the staff and the customers. We met some nice people up there. Could've stayed there all night but the bed was calling us. Slept like a log all night, surprisingly quiet considering it's right smack bang in Dublin, not a sound during the night.
Up the next morning and after a nice hot shower we headed down for breakfast - we were starving! We had some cereal and the fry arrived... Was perfect, we cleaned our plates! And a big 'Thumbs-Up' for the hot toast - stayed in so many places and they bring you out cold toast - horrible - but not here!
Checked out around 11 and it was really nice to be able to leave our bags and collect them later in the day, as they were both heavy and we didn't fancy carting them around all day.
All in all, we loved our stay at the Maple Hotel - Cosy, Clean, Welcoming and Great Craic!
Our only negative is that we hadn't another night or two to stay there - RECOMMENDED.
