Spent three nights at The Schoolhouse Hotel and really enjoyed my stay.

Rooms are large and comfortable, beds are on the soft side but feel good after a long day of visits. Our bathroom was wallpapered with an old-fashioned design and had an old hardwood floor, which gave it an old-world charm with modern day convenience.

Breakfast is generous and excellent down to the toast bread, a morning delight.

The staff is friendly and helpful except for the morning breakfast wait staff, who could make an effort to treat visitors as well as "friends" or regular guests of the hotel.

Location is quiet, about 15 minutes walk from Trinity, with bus service in front of the hotel to the center. Charming neighborhood, exactly where I would choose to stay again for another trip to Dublin!

This is an old schoolhouse converted into a hotel. Elegantly decorated, very nice rooms, quiet, good location to downtown, staff is very helpful and the food in the restaurant or tavern is excellent. You can't go wrong.

We were here for a wedding which this place does well and the day was fab.

Therese and the team really looked after us; from the minute we arrived until we left (very late, we did not stay overnight).

While photos were being taken (and after) we had our own little balcony to wait until dinner was served. This is such a quaint little place; lots of doors, corridors and hidey places (and there is a lift).

The food was great - it was away from the rest of the hotel in a very intimate room for about 16, (it can hold 20 and it was dressed for the occasion) and the meal went well - we had lots to eat and drink.

Afterwards we still had the little balcony to ourselves and we made the most of it. Very enjoyable and welcoming.

Would definitely recommend this place as it is not just a wedding venue - there is a separate restaurant, bar and rooms. There is a small car park and the area is very convenient to the city centre, (without the noise), the airport bus stops nearby - very convenient to the RDS.

We recently spent a few nights at the hotel and enjoyed the repurposing of the building. The staff was friendly, breakfasrt was good and there was a very nice bar with a lovely outdoor space. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the busiest part of town but the hotel is situated in a mixed residential/commercial area so that there is life on the street but the area is reelatively quiet. It is a good choice if you are seeking to avoid the business of a city center hotel while still having access to all sights and activities.

Room Tip: do not choose rooms 102, 202 or 302 as hey overlook the trash bins

This was my first stay in Dublin, and I had left it up to my travelling buddy to book a hotel. I was not disappointed. This is a small, clean, friendly hotel in the middle of a city. The staff were friendly and could not help us enough - even when we had a very early morning check out. After being out in the hustle and bustle of the city, when we stepped into our room it was so quiet and peaceful you would have thought you were in a hotel in the country.

The room was large and clean and contained all the usual amenities. The hotel was within easy walking distance to the main shopping area and tourist attractions in Dublin. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
