“Don't do it!”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

We chose this hotel for a quick one night stop close to the docks to get the dublin to holyhead ferry the following morning. The hotel was dark, dingy and depressing and the had the rudest staff imaginable. So noisy - totally unsuitable if travelling with infants. By the time my mum, sister and I (with 8 month old son) were checking out, it had become commically hilarious how poor the customer service was.

Room Tip: We were placed with the baby 1 floor above the lobby and the music - but honestly I just wouldnt bri...

My mother and I have just returned from another great stay at the Ripley Court Hotel. We have stayed here on numerous occasions and have never been let down by the facilities or the staff. Our room was huge, clean and comfortable. Our breakfast was tasty, hot and plentiful and above all the staff are AMAZING.

A huge 'shout out' to Gill, Helen, Delia and all the serving staff in the Dining Room, whose personal service make this hotel like being 'at home'.

We've already booked our next trip in December!

See you then, Ripley Court! We're looking forward to it!

The hotel was ok. We spent our last three nights in Ireland at this hotel. It's in a great location, not from everything. The room was average, cleanliness was decent. The staff was ok. The security staff at the front entrance were better, always cheery and helpful. Breakfast was not very good, it was cafeteria style, it wasn't bad, just not great. There was construction going on out front but it didn't affect us at all.
I would recommend this hotel, just don't expect 4 or 5 star quality, it's a 3 star in my opinion. Nothing fancy, not bad, not great.
We took a taxi to the airport at 0400 when we were leaving, it was easy to get a taxi, we booked it before, it wasn't that expensive and a lot better than trying to get a bus or some other mode of transit.

Room Tip: Our room was off the road, not sure if there are rooms on the road, or if they're noisy. Ours wa...

I stayed at this hotel with 5 of my friends ages between 20-28. We booked 2 triple room and stayed here for 2 nights. The location is great for a short walk into the shopping district and a short taxi ride on a night to the nightlife.
Upon arrival we tried to check in but was told that the rooms weren't ready, even though this was 1 hr after the check in time so we spent our time wisely and brought a few essential items from the local of licence. In the close surrounding area there is a cafe, pizza shop and a couple of shops (spar/ € shop and off licence)
When returning we we're told that it still wasn't ready and when asked if we could have a drink from the bar was told it was closed. We continued to wait after another 40 mins we asked and the male receptionist was rude. However finally 1 of the rooms we're ready.
The female reception staff we're friendly so was the security man at the door.
The hotel also had free wifi which was an added bonus. For anyone planning on using taxis while your there and got a smart phone, a must FREE purchase is 'hailo' this allows you to get get taxi's safely.

This hotel was in a fantastic location, maybe abit in a rougher end of town area, but didnt see or experience any trouble even coming back at 1am, well lit area felt safe. accessible to everything, shops, pubs, restuarants, bus station, the Liffey, Temple Bar. Give J W Sweetman pub a go,live music, good priced beer, meet Martin. Staff at reception excellent, extremelly pleasent and helpful. Good size room and spotless. For an inner city hotel this was excellent value. Little dim in the lobby but it seems in the pubs dim lighting is the norm. Maybe an Irish ting? Would definately use again and recommend. This was a surprize for my husbands birthday and he wasnt dissappointed. Loved Dublin and loved the friendly Irish folk.

Room Tip: No views, but doesnt matter, too much to do to stay in rooms. Rooms are spotless and bright. Quiet ap...

We were told after we booked the hotel that it was not in the best area of Dublin. However we did not experience any problems. The staff were friendly and the rooms comfortable. The lobby is a bit dark and daunting but the rooms are much brighter. There is an area to leave luggage but I was concerned that although the door was locked there was easy access to the key and there was no tagging system.

After reading reviews and thinking yeah yeah - years working in hotels make you realise that half of the reviews are exaggerated, the hotel was a great find!

On check in the staff were great, really friendly especially reception and the doorman - cheers for reminding me busaras is best for the trams!

The room was a good size with real comfortable bed and bathroom was a good size with a very powerful shower.

Breakfast was plentiful and had a good choice for everyone. Thanks for letting us get a quick continental on weds morning before breakfast had started as we had to get a train north.

I will definitely stay again and recommend your hotel to mates!
