This place is a dump, we unfortunately stayed here for a week in August. They gave us a room directly above the bar downstairs and underneath that bar was a nightclub that went until the wee hours of the morning. I should have know we were screwed from the get go when the lady hesitated to assign us to our room open check in, promptly saying that it might be "a bit noisy". We never feel asleep before 4 am the entire week despite wearing noise cancelling headphones to try to block it all out. We changed rooms after the first night but just moved up one floor directly above and the noise was no better. We tried to change again to a more interior room but was told that they were all booked up. To say we got no sleep the week we were here is an understatement. The Eastern European woman at the desk was condescending and told us,"Your in Temple Bar what did you expect?" and laughed at us when we told her our room as about 20 degrees warmer than the temperature outside. Damned if you open the window to attempt to cool it off and have your ears blown by all the noise and damned if you keep the window close to preserve your sanity but just expect to roast to death. I have stayed in heart of New Orleans during Mardi Gras, Rio during Carnival and in the middle of Times Square on several occasions and have never experienced the noise level this place has to offer. Even the nights we got pass out drunk your still woken by people screaming and the terrible music coming from underneath you. They should close the the hotel part down all together and just keep the building a nightclub because a hotel is somewhere you go to rest and sleep and you will get none of that here.

Room Tip: Don't stay here at all.

Nice location at the centre of Dublin. Friendly and helpful staff. If you're going to bad early, you probably don't get to sleep because of the noise on the street and from the nightclub/bar. There are very nice restaurants and bars in the area. I don't think i go again because of noise, for everyone who don't go to bed before 3am is it a perfect location.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room

Stopped here for two nights. Absolutely top rate staff, they couldn't be more pleasant or helpful. The hotel is EXACTLY where you want to be to enjoy Temple Bar. Room was spotless, very warm and cosy, breakfast ( we had the prepaid Continental and the following day the Full Irish ) was served overlooking the Liffey, by very attentive staff. Entertainment on all levels , a night club downstairs and full of revellers. We really cannot endorse this hotel high enough. We are definitely going back. The staff of this Hotel and its location surely cannot be beaten.

Room Tip: If you are worried about the noise reorts ITS A PUB/NIGHCLUB in TEMPLE BAR ! It didnt bother us one...

The location can't be beat if you want to be in the Temple Bar area. Plus, it's right along the river so it's easy to find as well. We walked to basically everywhere in Dublin for the hotel. The staff was always friendly and helpful and they even have outlet adaptors for you to use. Now if you are looking for luxury or a quiet weekend this isn't your place. The front desk warned us that music would play until 3am every night and you could hear people in the streets until almost 5am still carrying on with the evening's festivities. In addition, you will hear the street sweeper and beer trucks in the early morning hours as well, but if you had a fun evening yourself you can simply roll over and continue sleeping. The rooms aren't large, but they are clean and cozy and offer everything you could need to a fun time in Dublin. I would stay here again.

A lively hotel, friendly staff. Room clean, beds very comfortable. Down side no tea/coffee in room. Would recommend for short stay, but not if you can't abide noise. Night club in basement, does create noise when finished. other wise, very close to Dublin center, 5 min walk to O'connell street. Would go back.

Room Tip: Smoking rooms are available, front rooms have good view of the quay.

Another enjoyable stay. Second time this year & the staff treat you really well & nothing's too much trouble. I will be staying again as nothing's too much trouble & the price is great especially when it's in the centre to all amenities.
Loved the hotel and room but would say if u struggle sleeping take ear plugs as your in the centre of a very vibrant & lively town. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Thank u x

I booked a room for myself and my wife for the 9th September 2012 but was unable to travel
I cancelled from the Hotel's website. The say they have no record and as I used their website email I don't have a record but was cancelled w/e 2nd Sept.
I have requested a refund but to no avail.
This is very disappointing and is a bad reflection on customer service and Ireland as a whole.
I will keep you all informed of progress.
