This is a great historical hotel. Clean, beautiful property with good sized rooms. Loved the "old school" feeling of the hotel. It is very close to the bus stop which is needed to get to downtown Dublin and very easy to navigate. Not a long ride, but the hotel is not within walking distance. It is in a great neighborhood however with some great local pubs where you get to talk to the locals and not just other tourists.

I stayed at Bewley's Hotel recently when attending a conference. Reception staff were really friendly and bar staff even friendlier. The room was great. Not big, not small, just a little bit like baby bear's porridge. The bed was fabulous....i felt like Goldilocks. You know that feeling when you are just exhausted and need a good sleep? The pillows were soft as air and the duvet was like a cloud settling gently on me. I know, I know you think I am exagerating! No, take a bow Bewleys. OK, there always has to be something to improve. Please get some decent side lights for guests who like to read. Get that sorted and you will be an A class hotel and I will keep coming back. Well done. Breakfast was ok but not in the same class as the room. But if you are in Dublin you should go to one of the fabulous restaurants for Brunch in any case. Try Odessa on Dame Lane for a wonderful experience.

This is getting to be a regular for us in Dublin. Decent room. Family room has a double and two singles. There is a huge bar downstairs with cosy booths for the family and good service. It's located well if you have a car, close to the ferry terminals. One negative is the 10 euro per night parking charge. A bit mean when they have plenty of spaces. It' s not exactly city centre. Having stayed there often both on my own and with the family I'll certainly recommend it. It's reasonably priced. The bar menu is good- the steak sandwich is simple but delicious. Free wifi almost everywhere ( but not the bar). I'll be back again.

Stayed in Bewleys of Ballsbridge over the over the May Bank Holiday just gone past. From start to finish it was an enjoyable experience. Clean room, attended to daily, was perfect for what we required. If i had any negative criticism it would be that the sofa bed is too hard on the back to be considered a bed as such. The staff in this hotel were brilliant, friendly no matter what time of the day you approached them. Actually cannot commend the bar staff highly enough as they provided us not only with food and drinks but with quite a bit of entertainment through friendly banter which only helped our enjoyment of a few drinks whilst there. The breakfast is lovely, good selection and well stocked. Good location and easily accessible. We ventured to the stephen's green locality a couple of times, taxi rank is outside hotel or alternatively the dart station down the road so transport is sorted. Would recommend and will be back again to stay there for the bruce springsteen concert in July.

A good hotel. Common areas, ground etc were all very very attractive. The room was functional rather than luxurious but for the 75 Euro cost was sound value for money. The bar was excellent (cracking steak sandwich) and the people were very friendly. Very good stay for the price - moreso when you consider the free wifi.

I have stayed in this hotel on numerous nights since the hotel first opened and I have always regard the lounge as a home from home in Dublin. However I have noticed a rapid fall off in the standards of friendliness and sense of welcome that was a hallmark of the hotel for many years. All regulars know at this stage that the decor of the hotel needs some TLC but the rooms are good sized, they are always spotlessly clean, the food is tasy and good quality (though the lounge snacks, coffee, etc is not as good value as it should be). The Reception staff are on the whole lean towards the rude and the people who serve the coffees in the lounge seem to regard serving the customer as a chore.

Room Tip: Always go for a room on the upper floors, the rooms on 1st floor tend to be the less desirable

Thought this hotel was great. Its a mix of elegant old world and contemporary and is in a great location. I was going to a wedding near by and needed a family room to take 5 for two nights. The room was very spacious. This hotel offered great value. The dinner menu was fantastic and breakfast was brilliant. All round we were thrilled with our choice. We had a family room but they also have interconnecting family rooms if your family is bigger than 5. My sister booked one of those and it worked out great.
