Great hotel for a relaxing weekend or shortbreak in Dublin. The Rooms are amazing with plasma screens and LCD fires were amazing.

Location is a bit far out of town, but not too far for a short walk into the city centre and not to far from the tram stop. Staff were very friendly and bar very well stocked with liqueors.

If your looking for a reasonable hotel in the quite suburbs of Dublin for a short break then this will definantly fit the bill.

We drove up to this hotel and were immediately impressed. Very posh entrance and lobby but boutique at the same time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We asked them so many questions throughout our stay and they drew on our map, gave recommendations with a smile, and were never bothered. The hotel is super chic and very whimsical. Our room was very modern with an extrememly nice bathroom, shower, and the bedroom had a very large flat screen TV. I wouldn't say it's extremely close walking distance to the main attractions but the bus stop a block away gets you anywhere. We actually walked the first day and it only took us 15-20 minutes.

Wow! What a warm welcome. At check-in the receptionist told as more than 15 minutes everything we wanted to know about bus lines, restaurants options and sightseeing stuff. The hotel has even its own map for their guests. In the room, everything was brand new and high standard. The room and the bathroom have everything you wish for a perfect stay. Also some fancy extras like the electronic chimney! The only negative thing about the room was the fact, that you couln’t open the window. I can definitly say this hotel was a very good choice. To be honest, the hotel is not in the centre, but there are several buses which take you to the centre in about 10 minutes. The station fort he airport coach is also right in front of the hotel. Unfortunately the bus service stop at about 23.30. The taxi from the centre will cost you about 10 Euro. Despite the disadvantage of the location i would book this hotel again. You get a lot for a very competitive price.

The staff were the highlight of our stay. . .

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel while trying to relocate from Canada. We chose this hotel for it's reasonable price as well as it's proximity to University College Dublin. The hotel itself is very modern and stylish. It appeared to have just been renovated. We arrived well before check in time yet we were given our room right away. We were also upgraded to a larger room free of charge. Throughout our stay the staff were extremely helpful and courteous with all questions we had.

The hotel is located about 20 minute walking distance from the City Centre which includes (Temple Bar, Grafton Street, O'Connell Street etc) and it was great to be able to walk or take the bus back and forth with ease and return for a peaceful drink or meal at the hotel.

The hotel bar and restaurant were very good as well with a good selection of food at reasonable prices.

Overall we would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, modern hotel but who doesn't mind walking to get to the major tourist attractions in the Dublin city centre.

We chose this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly staff member who gave us a thorough overview of Dublin and answered our questions about bus passes. She even provided an information packet with some Dublin history and recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing.

The rooms were terrific. Spacious and very clean with modern touches like a huge flatscreen TV, DVD player (but no DVDs) and a remote-control fireplace. The bathroom was large and almost luxurious. The bar and sitting areas were spacious and well designed. Room service was tasty; we especially liked the Irish cheese plate.

The only drawback is that it's not in the center of town, but this is easily overlooked since many buses stop right outside. For travel to/from the airport, take the Aircoach, which picks up and drops off just outside the hotel. Roundtrip ticket is €14.

The suburb of Donnybrook has plenty to offer. There is a gourmet supermarket just down the road (with its own restaurant on the second floor), as well as a pharmacy and several pubs.

We loved this hotel and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Recommendation: Elephant & Castle (Temple Bar) for breakfast; try the Irish pinhead oatmeal.

We were greeted by the most amazing hotel receptionist we have ever met! Gudrun. Even before checking us in she asked if we had visited Dublin before and when we said no, she materialised maps and a dummys guide compiled by the hotel staff of the best places to go, recommended restaurants and bars etc. Then she guided us through the map of what buses to take into the city and marked all the dropping off and picking up points. She also marked all the best bars and restaurants. She went well over her call of duty! Very impressed. She then upgraded our room, even better! The room was gorgeous, a nice size with a massive flat screen tv. The bathroom was bright and spacious with heated flooring and a double washbasins. A full size bath and shower. It was all very lovely. Yes as a previous reviewer has stated the hallways are dark with low level lighting - literally the lights are at the bottom of the walls! But this all adds to the ambience of the hotel. Breakfast was lovely we had the egg benedict with smoked salmon - highly recommend it!

This is a great place to stay, yes it is a bit out of town, but the walk is pleasant and if you feel tired at the end of the day you can catch the local bus back, it stops right outside the hotel. The airport bus stop is right outside as well. The rooms have everything in them, i just loved the modern style to this hotel. the staff were excellent and friendly, what more can i say, we were away 5 weeks in the UK and this was one of the best hotels
