“If you are a book lover or history buff, this is a must see library”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

It seemed like everywhere we went, the Chester Beatty library was referenced. We went, and I am so glad we did! This is an amazing collection of books - mostly religious volumes from 500AD onward - the collection of Qur'ans are just simply amazing...and this is one of the best libraries I have ever seen in terms of how the volumes are displayed and annotated - it's as if you could touch the volumes (you can't of course, but it sure seemed like you could).

I was in awe that such a collection existed in Dublin. Not where I would have expected to find such an impressive collection of books that deal with diverse religions and book making techniques. It is really an amazing place.

“Must see in Dublin”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

I visited the Chester Beatty Library after touring Dublin Castle. I was so impressed with the collection housed in this building. This is much more like a museum than a library. I spent two hours here and enjoyed every minute of it. I can not believe that admission is free.
