Owner description: Christ Church Cathedral is one of Dublin's oldest buildings, a leading visitor attraction and a place of pilgrimage for almost 1,000 years. Famous for its breathtaking beauty, magnificent architectural features and wonderful floor tiles, Christ Church is also popular as a venue and is host to many high profile concerts throughout the year. It is home to the tomb of Strongbow, leader of the Normans, who captured Dublin in 1170. The Medieval Crypt, one of the largest in Britain and Ireland, extends under the entire Cathedral and contains The Mummified cat and rat, trapped in the organ in the 1860s. Guided tours, including the belfry, available up to five times a day Monday to Saturday.

What a beautiful and calm place amongst the bustling Dublin streets. The Cathedral itself was stunning and well worth the time. The crypt was also very cool, a great look into history. Make sure to scratch the ears of the adorable orange cat that lives on the grounds while you're there!

This Cathedral is worth the time spent there. The interior is amazing and the staff is congenial and helpful. Don't forget to drop in downstairs for a look see. The architecture inside and out is magnificent, although the folks hanging around the building outside can be a bit unnerving. They didn't ask for anything or bother the tourists, but they can be unnerving.

I can see why the Cathedral has an admission fee.

It was beautiful and majestic. I took my time and looked around. It was so peaceful in the midst of the crowds also there to capture its beauty. The crypt was very interesting as well. I especially loved the set of brass keys in the display case they used over the years at the Cathedral. Please make time to visit here. It is so worth your time.
