Great day out kids enjoyed every bit ☺ as a parent I'd advise you take a picnic as zoo food can be expensive, and pace yourself its a BIG place having said that we had a ball kids are talking about our return trip already

Brilliant zoo with a massive african savana area. Spent a few hours there amd saw lots of interesting animals up close. Have visited lots of zoos over the years and this one is top of my list, I would recommend this to anyone of any age visiting the area

Dublin Zoo is amazing. It's a great place and wonderful for adults and children alike. Kids can run around in a traffic free environment. Every couple of months something new is completed. The Zoo have been improving year on year for the last decade. Bring bread for the ducks and feed them when you arrive if you have young kids. Mine love this activity. The playgrounds do tend to be set in sand which can be a nightmare. But the kids do love them! If you don't like crowds then go early on a Saturday morning, they open at 9:39am. The place fills up around 12. Also if it's a GAA weekend in the capital a lot of country people come up and it's quite crowded. Still it's always wonderful.

I went to the Zoo on a date with my boyfriend. It was a really fun day & it's a great idea for a date, whether it's a first date or your together years. I would defo recommend going on a sunny day, we went on an absolutely beautiful day so this really made it a lot more enjoyable. It takes about 2 hours to get around the whole zoo. They have certain times for feeding the animals so if you have children I'd recommend researching this beforehand as it's a very enjoyable experience for young children.
There's a few picnic tables around the place so it's great if you want to sit down for a while for a bite to eat.
I'd also recommend wearing good runners as walking around in flats all day can be pretty hard on feet.
I'd recommend this to anyone as it's a very enjoyable day out.

Never a disappointment visiting Dublin zoo, it has to be one of the best I've been to across the globe.Every year they add something different keeping the experience fresh and creative. The staff are always very friendly, the animals seem to be very happy and content and their conservation work is top class. Great day out for kids and adults alike.Highly recommend it.
