Stayed in a three bed, en suite room for two nights. Very clean, very cosy... Slept well.
The communal areas of the hotel/hostel weren't anything special and the staff were very polite... There wasn't really much of an atmosphere.
The location is very central.

Stayed there for a few nights while visiting the area. Dormitories are nice and clean with comfortable beds. Very friendly staff directed us to the best brew pub in the city, where we enjoyed the best cask bitter ever!

I have booked this hotel for a fast week end in Dublin for the rugby match.

The position is excellent just in front of the bus stop from the airport.

The people at the desk are very kind and prepared.

Unfortunately the rooms are very small and the wall too thin for a good sleep in the night.

Too noise from the other room, too young people as guests.

Honestly for the room rates, I think it could be better.

Dirty, stinky, tiny and cold rooms and furthermore PAY ATTENTION to which services the staff recommends you, they say a price and then they charge you of a higher price. I DON'T RECOMMEND YOU THIS HOTEL

I stayed at 'My Place Dublin' for a weekend break with my Partner. When we arrived, there was an over powering smell of bleach in the room. It was like the cleaner covered everything in bleach to hide something! After the bleach smell had faded away, there was a strong smell of urine coming from the bathroom! There was a tiny window in the room with a dusty ill fitting blind which looked broken! The window didn't open and it was filthy! There isn't a dressing table, plug socket near a mirror or table near a mirror, so doing your hair and make up wasn't easy! On our first day we tried to use the shower, but it didn't work. We tried to call reception to tell them, but there wasn't anything in the room telling us how to reach reception using the phone! We went to speak to the receptionist and were told that it wasn't working at the moment!?! It worked about 20 mins later, but later on that night, near midnight, the water was off again! The 2nd day, the headboard fell off the wall, luckily not on to our heads! It wasn't attached to the bed or wall! It was balancing off a beam of wood!?! The cleaner came while we were out, she didn't clean, she just moved some stuff about. The dirty towels were not taken and the toilet paper wasn't topped up either. This hostel has a rule where you have to leave your key card with reception every time you leave the building, which I wasn't comfortable with as our belongings and valuables were in there! Avoid this place if you can! I'm so glad we only stayed 2 nights!

I visited My Place recently for 3 nights on the weekend. After reading previous reviews it seemed suitable and for the price we payed i knew it wasnt going to be the ritz but i expected more than what we got. After waiting ages before we could check in we got given our room key. Our room was at the very top of the building. We had to carry our large and heavy suitcases up 6 flights of very narrow stairs before we got to the room. We opened to door to find a old looking room with stained carpet, a broken window and a miss match of handle knobs. Once we'd put our stuff down we went to make a cup of tea and watch some tv to find that we had tea and coffee facilities but no kettle and no tv remote to turn it on. After calling reception they bought up a replacement kettle.. which didnt even work and a tv remote. We then went for a shower.. the bathroom door didnt shut as it was too big for the frame and nor did the shower, which i add after running for 15 minutes didnt heat up so we had to have it cold (the water practically dribbled out). The bed was like sleeping on a table with wafer thin pillows and the headboard banged everytime we moved as it was not even attached to the bed. Very disappointed. But on a positive, the location was brilliant with easy access to the city and transport around.

Booked this hotel last minute on a trip around ireland. I will be staying here again without a doubt. Got a room for three of us with two double beds and a single. Huge room, good bathroom. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend!!!
