A well known journalist did a fine piece for his paper recently, and "introduced" the Dublin public to this gem of a walk. Our walking group are taking it as a Saturday trek shortly and, perhaps, stopping off at some "watering holes" along the way. The finest structure on the route on route is the old entrance to Rathfarnham Castle, now a local park. The river was originally an industrial zone, with a number of mills operating.
