I live close to Tymon park and spend many happy hours there with the kids, whether it's just wandering around, playing hurling, cycling, in the playground or feeding the ducks. The park is a hive of activity on nice days and great to see all the pitches packed with happy children. My kids love going up late in the afternoon to spot rabbits especially when the little ones start appearing.

The kids loved all the gym equipment dispersed around the paths! Our 3 year old and 7 year old enjoyed the local wildlife and scenery so much they didn't realise they had completed the 5km walk- a truly great family day in the great outdoors!

very secure childrens playground - design of it makes it easy to keep any eye on more than 2 children. also the forest area play ground is a novel idea.

In these hard times it is great to have a beautiful park to spend some leisure time in. Tymon Park in south co. dublin is just such a place. It is full of lovely open fields and beautiful lakes with lots of wildlife to see, there are playing pitches and play grounds for the children as well as lots of paths and little wooded areas, lovely to walk your dog and enjoy down time with family and friends. plenty of well kept hedges which are a real joy at this time of year, full of berries and a heaven for wild birds. although the M50 is very close by there are parts of the park that are a world away from city life and traffic. one little quibble; not enough litter bins which means you may have to carry litter and dog poop for a while (sad to say some people don,t bother ).Well done to south dublin council and their staff this is a wonderful park and wardens are there during opening hours so feels quite safe. There are lots of car parks that serve the park. i am lucky enough to live very close by and visit almost every day. Pay a visit when you can.

I am lucky enough to live literally on the edge of Tymon Park, it starts at the bottom of the street where I live. I walk there every day with my dog. It is a wonderful amenity to have in the area. There are beautiful walks, lakes, lots of wildlife and in summer it is buzzing. There are lots of playing fields where the national game of hurling is played, along with GAA and it is also used for cycling and running. Nearby is the M50, which is mostly gridlocked, but when I walk in Tymon Park I could be a million miles from the city. In the last few years a new playground was opened and on any given day this is put to great use both by children living in the area and those who stop off when passing by. All credit to South Dublin Co. Council for giving and maintaining this great amenity.
