“Highly educational and interesting”

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. It was a very interesting tour focused primarily on 1916-1922. The tour covered a lot of details over a relatively small tour area. We were very glad we did this tour along with visiting Kilmainham Goal (which we did first, and that was probably helpful to getting more out of the tour though it could work either way). It is quite affordable as well.

“Well worth the time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

We went on this walk with the young guide Liam, he told the story of Rebel Dublin in an educated unbiased way that was interesting and easy to understand.
He was always open to discussions about points that are repeating themselves today with whats happening in the 6 counties, for example the break in the Republican Movement after Mick Collins signed the Treaty, the way that the Leadership turned against former comrades and the Civil War.
All this is not much different to the way the leadership of the Provisional Movement have turned on anyone within the Republican Movement who dared question the surrender by SF in the North.
All in all a great 2 hours and real value for money.

“Great tour with great insight and background”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014 via mobile

Liam did an excellent job with our small tour group which gave us plenty of time for one-on-one discussions. A retrospective look at Irish conflict and Republicanism was provided leading up to Rising and Civil War. Liam presented a cohesive account of all the players and events during the most pivotal times in Irish history. It's too bad that some of the sights on Parnell Square are sitting derelict.
