I love this cinema. It's away from the more "blockbuster" films so you really do get to watch a film in peace!

“Good cinema”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2013 via mobile

This is a good alternative to the big cinemas in the city. Nice little indy place with friendly staff. They show a decent mix of films and I like to support them, even for the more mainstream movies. They're range of independent films is impressive for such a small place.

“Sort of Arthouse”

The screen is not quite art-house but does show indie and un usual movies . It also shows some main-steam movies. The staff are friendly and the patrons like to talk to you

“A decent cinema”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2012

Went to see the new Bond movis (Skyfall). What can I say? Friendly staff, especially in the bar. Seats were comfortable and the only fault was not the ciname but a the usual few plonkers that 'up' the decibels with incessant eating of crisps/sweets from packets!

“Very special & unique experience...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2012

I think the charm The Screen cinema has is its' partial anonymity. It's not that well known, and therefore quite like an old American picture house with a few rambling film lovers shuffling about the place. The Screen is in a great location, in the heart of the city right off D'Olier street and next to the lovely Doyles pub for a sneaky pint after your film!

The cinema is never overcrowded with punters wanting to buy tickets as in fairness from the outer building it looks like a run down very old picture-house. But as I said that's the whole charm of it! There are generally around 4 or 5 films running, sometimes Inde movies and sometimes mainstream. I'd recommend it to the filmy's of the world who'd like a secluded and enchanting cinema experience.
