“Nice for 1st time tourist”
Reviewed 15 November 2012

Attended as part of tour(optional at additional cost of (55euro). Menu choices for salad or soup(salmon or cream veg- good);Beef;chicken, or salmon entree. I had beef, mediocre. Nice apple tart and Irish coffee for dessert. Cash bar. Irish musicians-entertaining and engaging-but do "trad" musicians use synthesizers?? Extremely talented, entertaining and energetic male Irish step dancers enhanced by pretty female lasses.

“Irish Nights - a grand evening”
Reviewed 27 February 2012

OK - I'm from Ireland and the stuff of this show is (hopefully) in my blood.... so my standards are high and readers of these comments should consider this.

I brought my wife (who is an honorory Irish-person) for a good night of fun and food. We paid about 30euros each (booked online the night before, on the hotel's website). The food was good, the music was good (the musicans were very good but their selection, although traditional, a little off the beaten track). The dancing good fun too - however the stage is tiny and fair play to the dancers for not falling off the edges (there are only 5 dancers). The show lasted about 2.5 hours (start about 19:00 - with food and video, then 1 hour of music, 30-40 minutes of dancing - the dancers rope in some unsuspecting tourists for 1 sample dance - the about 30-40 minutes of music again). Bottom line - there IS better music available in Dublin if you have time to discover it, there is likely to be better dancing too, and for sure there is better food - but all combined for this price - a good deal and good fun - I'd certainly recommend this event, especially if you don't have a lot of time.

The only criticism is for the wait staff (seems to be a universal skill for waiters to be able to attend the table next to you and totally ignore the customers nearby trying to attract their attention)... We were desperate for a drink and could not get served.... odd considering the place is one large pub. Note, the show is available for free in other parts of the pub (on a video link) - the 30 euros gets you the food and reserved tables close to the stage..

“low cost, but you get what you pay for”
Reviewed 9 November 2011

Very large room, uncomfortably crowded tables, mediocre food, poor view of the stage, uninspired music and dance. All in all, an unsatisfactory evening. But the dessert was good!

“Fun in the City”
Reviewed 26 December 2009

Nice dinner show and the food was quite nice too. Good brews as well. The hotel staff really makes an effort to make you feel comfortable. The waiters' service quality varies somewhat, though. Try to get parking in the hotel basement. Parking outside is a pain. The Temple Bar District is 5mins. rolling distance :)
