Very friendly reception with fruit juice for welcome and a home made cake at the desk. Nice rooms with good bathroom and the best breakfast ever! Location is perfect, a 4 minutes walk and you find the first pub, a walk of 15 minutes and you are at the centre of town.

A great place to stay if you are in central Dublin. The 'townhouse' is comfortable and has a touch of elegance. The service was friendly and very personable. Rooms were clean and well furnished - everything worked. There is a very useful carpark at the back of the hotel which enables you to leave the car and walk into the centre of the city.

Great location - 10 minutes to the city centre by foot. Bicycles for rent nearby. Free and secured parking at the back of the hotel, free Wi-Fi. Nice and clean, nice and helpful stuff. Coffee/tee + homemade biscuits, delicious cake for welcome.

We were very happy here. Room 501 was small, but accommodated our tall frames. It was in the back, and very quiet. You don't stay here to luxuriate with big screen TV and jacuzzi. But you can have a little picnic in your room, the light is adequate for reading, and if you get stir crazy you can hang out in the rooms adjacent to the lobby. What was best was that we could walk everywhere from there, including City Centre and off the beaten path to the river and docks. Made it all the way to Cobblestones in Smithfield one day... that did require a cab ride back, though!

Other reviews have commented on the encroaching shabbiness compared to the pictures. I would say it is still very much in the "chic" range.

The staff was very nice to us. Sometimes there was cake on the front desk. Always there were little shortbread cookies in the cupboard. They allow early check in for a much more reasonable sum than if you have to book the night before. This came in very handy with a 7 am arrival at the airport after a very long flight from California.

Breakfast seemed a little pricey, but the room was really pleasant, other than the coffee the offerings were good, and it was a great way to start the day.

We would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Room 501 is small but with high ceilings and in the back, so it is quiet.

Got here early this morning. The room was not ready but they stored our bags and charged my iPad for me. We got back 6 hours later and were welcomed back. Delicious cake was waiting and a fresh pot of tea was made. Fiona was very helpful with dinner/pub suggestions and advice about the trains. A little out of the way, but lovely accommodations and staff made us feel like we were home!

This hotel does not have the best bedrooms in Dublin, not the best comfort nor the best bathrooms. What it does have is a great location, free car parking - paying for parking in hotels is one of my pet hates - a wonderful staff, great breakfast and touches that make it feel more of a home from home. It is also the best value hotel in Dublin. It's location is walking distance if you are going to events in the RDS or the Aviva. After a meal in the city it is also pleasant walking distance back. It is close to many of Dublin's excellent pubs. On the downside, it is an old house, the windows can be "thin" so traffic noise in the front, not intolerable, just there. The 11" CRT TVs could be replaced and the pillows could be better. But then this is a Townhouse and being that it is perfect.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter, rooms at the front however have better light. While I recommend the b...

Cosy and clean, very friendly staff, bright and nice room. The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from town in a lovely neighbourhood. Complimentary coffee, tea and homemade cake and biscuits. Very friendly staff and very good price. I've finally found a hotel to recommend in Dublin!
