“Too variable to bother”
Reviewed 17 February 2014

Sometimes €5.50 for a bucket of rice, sometimes for a bucket of sauce, rarely a filling meal which you paid for. It's a pity they can't standardize their portions and stop ripping people off.

“decent Thai food at affordable price”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

Yum Thai located on Duke Street just off Grafton Street serves nice Thai food in a box for €5 to €6!. The food is laid out buffet style and you can pick what you want. There is a big menu behind counter which explains what is in each dish. There were a good few options with a choice of rice or noodles with what you chose. Thai red, green, massaman all curries all there, along with Pad Thai..plus more. The large portions come in take out boxs, with cutlery and napkins provided. They were served by a friendly girl who interacts well with customers. As regards seating there is some bar stool counter options inside and benches outside. Will definitely return, great value and the price does not reflect the quality. Try it for yourself!

Cool little noodle bar in duke street. So small you eat on the street and do people watching. Try pad thai.

“Great value lunch”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

Yum Thai is a great little noodle bar which does boxes of rice or noodles and curry to take away for 5.50 (5 for students). All their curries are really tasty and freshly made, the two best are probably the green curry and Massaman curry. It is just a great quick, cheap and filling lunch in the city centre and they give you an apple or an orange for desert.

“Take away Thai”
Reviewed 19 June 2013

Food is average, but it is cheap and tasty, and if one evening it happens that you don't feel like cooking, this is a perfect take away ( I'd recommend the Gang Dang with noodles). Of course, don't be too fussy, you get what you pay for, but from time to time it is ok!
