Dublin hotels are notoriously expensive but I felt robbed after our one night in the hotel. The Ballsbridge looks fantastic from the lobby and the rooms are spacious but there is very little to them. We were put on the eighth floor which was fine until the fire alarm broke and we weren't allowed to use the lift while they were fixing it. The alarms continued to ring for most of the afternoon. The window in our room would not close properly and the weather was particularly awful that night so we were kept up by the wind. The nearest affordable food is about a five to ten minuet walk away as the food served in The Dubliner wasn't that great or very well priced. The staff however were very lovely and the hotel was spotless you couldn't fault how clean our room and especially our bathroom was.
