The belvedere hotel is a quite central hotel in Dublin and offers reasonable prices for a city hotel. The rooms are huge (we were 2 persons and had about 35sq!!) and clean, however the bathroom could be renewed as the tub/shower was quite old, so was the toilet.
During our stay we noticed that the personnel isn't very friendly, but it seems that that's normal in all Ireland.. Definitely not for people who like personal and friendly service. We didn't mind because we discovered dublin On our own.
Ok but really nothing special..

Dear Wesasosa

Thanks for taking the time to write your review. I was very disappointing to read that you did not find our staff friendly, as you will see from our other reviews this is generally not what people think. We are in the middle of a major refurbishment program to deal with the other issue you mentioned.
I was please that you liked the size of our rooms and the standard of cleanliness.

regards
Cathal

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great stay. Room was huge in a Georgian stylee and the location is spot on just round the corner from Grafton St. We got a great deal and considering the location brilliant value for money. we paid for breakfast the night before and got discount on a excellent buffet with loads of choice and as mush as you wanted. Best thing were the staff who were friendly helpful and plain nice people. Going back real soon !

Stayed for one night on business and I must say this is a great value small hotel right in the heart of Dublin city, five minute walk from O'Connell Street and the centre of the city. The room was spacious, warm and clean and the en-suite had a good shower with plenty of piping hot water. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
All in all a pleasant stay and really good value.

Stayed here with my girlfriend from 3rd November - 7th November, really pleased with the location of the hotel, within walking distance of everything you could need which is good if you are on a budget as you don't require taxis in and out. Room was a good size for us as a couple comfy bed and good bathroom the only thing I can complain about is the cleanliness of the room, we had the maids in at least twice during our stay and the room wasn't hoovered or dusted and by the looks of it it had been a while since it had been done. I will upload a photo of the dust. This really did let the hotel down but no complaints other than this

Dear Otmawson

Thanks for your review. I was disappointed to read that the cleanliness of your room was not up to our usual standard. I will certainly deal with this so that it does not happen again.
I am happy you enjoyed everything else and I hope that you get back to Ireland and the Belvedere Hotel soon.

Stopped one night and good value for money ( despite the noisy pipework when the toilet flushed). Very convenient for the ( free) Hugh Lane Gallery with the Francis Bacon Studio on Parnell Square, for those seeing inspiration and very central for the main attractions.
