“Excellent facility and great hosts”

Tinode House was the 1st B & B that we stayed at ( 3 days) on a 40 day trip through Ireland, Scotland and Wales. We will remember it fondly.

PJ and Maureen Dunn are great hosts providing a warm welcome and good conversation. PJ is a wealth of information on transportation, finding locations and saving money. He is also the cook and does a great job.

They are ideally situated so that you can get to them from the airport by local bus in 20 minutes, perhaps less. They are on the bus route to downtown Dublin. Buy a rambler bus ticket at the airport and use it to get to and from Tinode and downtown Dublin and anywhere in Dublin and towns outside Dublin ( a money saving tip from PJ). Both made excellent suggestions for restaurants and attractions.

We stayed here for 5 nights recently and had a really good time. PJ was helpful and humorous to have conversation with, although, I do have to say that he is a little over the top with breakfast accomodations. Let me give an example...we came home late one night from drinking at the pubs, now, we know they live there, so were were super quiet coming in, but the second PJ heard the door open, he came out of his room and started hounding us and asking us what we wanted for breakfast. Okay, so maybe that doesn't sound so bad, but he had already left us a sheet on our room door to fill out! :) He did this every day. It's a fine line between great hospitality and obsession, for us anyway. But, i can say that it was something that we got used to and learned to deal with it. Tinode has excellent access to the bus stops that take you everywhere you need to go, th hop-on-hop-off (3 days pass) was well worth it because you can't see it all in 24 hours! We spent 4 hours in the Guinness Storehouse alone! Anyway, rooms were immaculate and well taken care of. Oh, just a bit of advice, don't leave anything out, cause PJ will pack it up for you, hang up your clothes and put your suitcases in the closet! :) HA! The house is amazing and the little greenhouse in the back is the perfect place to warm yourself up on those cold nights!

Just back from a trip with 5 month old baby and couldn't fault the welcome we received. Accommodation was excellent and PJ was so helpful.

Although located on a busy road, it's set well back, so noise not a problem. Bus stop a few yards from the front door and in 15 mins you can be in the centre of Dublin.

This is a little gem of a place.

We stayed at the Tinode House for 2 nights. This lovely B&B is comfortable and clean. Our family of 5 (my mother, husband and 2 children) had 2 large bedrooms, each with a shower and toilet. The house is beautiful Georgian architecture, built in the 1930s...we loved the charming decor and the various plants, which almost looked tropical. The owner, PJ, was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. I am getting hungry thinking about the Irish sausages and coffee. PJ certainly makes you feel at home.
There is no need to have a car. The bus stop is not far, it is only about a 15 minute ride into central Dublin. You can also walk a few minutes down the Drumcondra road to shop for groceries, go to the chemist, or have a bite to eat. We liked the local pub " The Cat and Cage". We had a nice dinner there and enjoyed watching a rugby game.
My children said they felt sad leaving.
I hope we get to go back again.

We spent 4 nights in Tinode House and it was a wonderful stay. The rooms are very clean and very nice decorated so that you can have homely feelings. P.J. ‘s warm hospitality, his nice conversation as well as his sense of humour made our stay unforgettable. He is a great cook regarding breakfast (a real little treasure… :-)).
Due to always loud traffic on Drumcondra road we recommend rooms at the backyard.
Thank you very much! Surely we will come back!

My wife & I spent 3 wonderful nights at Tinode House and couldn't have wanted for a better place from which to experience Dublin. PJ gave us a marvelous welcome & an even better breakfast!! The accomodation is superb, extremely clean & very efficiently run yet retaining a relaxed & homely atmosphere. Being only 10 minutes by bus from the centre of Dublin, this was a perfect place from which we could explore the heart of the city.

Thanks a million for making our first visit to this wonderful city so memorable. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Cheers
