Not so well-known and it's not hard to understand once there: very little stands, no special things to find. The people were ok though.

Lots to look at, really great stalls, very friendly people.
Found some nice little bargains here, and nice enough just to wander round.
Definitely worth a visit ...

Newmarket Square is a fairly plain and grey place, but when the market is on it's great. Lots of great stalls, good coffee, music and friendly people. Definitely worth checking out.

A great flea market to visit on the last sunday of every month! Tasty (partly vegetarian/vegan) food on offer. The offered goods range from vintage clothing and accessories to furniture, paintings and kitsch. I will go there again.

Fantastic Sunday flea market - which unfortunately are in much shorter supply than in the US - happening 11am-5pm in Newmarket, Dublin 8. Has a different theme each week. Recently went to the Brocante Market (lots of vintage furniture, homewares and the usual second-hand clothes, accessories and do-dads). Some prices are high for trendy, in-demand items (like mid-century modern home decor), but bargains are to be had if you look closely (and haggle a bit).

Great variety. Lively atmosphere. Get a coffee and a pizza -- it's delicious. Definitely one of the city's hidden gems.
