“a bed for 16eur, what else can u ask for??!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 November 2013 via mobile

I stayed here as I needed somewhere for an overnite stay for a few hrs. I paid 16 eur for a bed in a 4 bed dorm. as it was mid week I got lucky amd had the dorm with ensuite to myself. the ensuite was clean. the beds and linen were also clean and comfortable.

there is a storage area for large luggage in the basement. under the bed there was metal cage for locking ur stuff away safely.

I didn't stay for breakfast. I did arrive at 1am and reception was open. it's a 10min wall from heuston station.

would def recommend this hostel!!

I stayed here with a group of 5 people for 3 nights. The location of the hostel is excellent- right near many of the main things in Dublin. However, the hostel itself leaves a few things to be desired. First, the reception was not the friendliest or most helpful. About half the workers were right on par, but we also encountered a few rude ones, particularly when we had an issue with our room. The room had this huge, drafty window that left the room freezing cold. When we went down to notify the staff, the man working told us there was nothing that he could do nor where there any extra blankets to give us. In fact, he told me to "do squats" to warm up. That left us very disappointed and with no solution. The walls of the hostel are paper thin. We could hear everything all night long and the hostel was noisy all night long (even at 3 or 4 AM). The hostel did have a nice big sitting area on the main floor with free wifi and 3 computers. If I ever return to Dublin, I would not stay here again.

Hi. I stayed here in October 2010 for the marathon and I enjoyed my stay here. It was a shame the hostel was full for this years marathon weekend but I thought i'd still put in a good review. The hostel has a few PC's that you can use the internet on, the staff are the best and so are the rooms and showers. I'd recommend this hostel to anybody staying in Dublin. Its near all the attractions ,Guinness Storehouse, Jamesons distillery, Four Courts itself, Christchurch, Dublin Castle and Liberty market. When I visit again I will make sure this time I stay here as the other hostels aren't as good and don't have the helpful staff like this one!

Four Courts is a decent hostel located in a great area in Dublin, very close to every place you´d want to move around the city. Staff is nice, lobby is good, free wi-fi on the ground floor, three computers available to use for free. The price is really good and includes a nice breakfast. Rooms are ok, showers looked pretty bad and dirty and beds are just ok to sleep. Rooms are just in front of the Liffey, a crowdy street which sometimes can be a little noisy. Anyways, it´s a good place to sleep and have breakfast, while you´re passing Dublin. I´d stay again.

The location and price are both great. The staff was friendly enough and also had good a lot of fun things planned. The pubcrawl is worth the trip and we had a great guide- Kenny! Takes you around to a lot of good pubs with cheaper drink deals and includes club entrance. The walking tour is also worth attending. The breakfast wasn't all that great and coffee was awful. Not a lot of outlets in room and no wifi. However, met good people and overall good experience.

Room Tip: Don't get room 001!

From what I can tell, few people have found a hostel in Dublin that they just love. Each lacks the "fun" aspect most hostel travelers are looking for. Four Courts was much the same. I stayed here for 2 nights and was most happy with the location. The hostel is located within walking distance of the Temple Bar area, Dublin Castle, Trinity College, and most of the hot restaurants and bars.

The free breakfast included cereal, toast, juice, tea, and coffee.

The best thing about it is the location and staff. You're about 10-15 min from everything you want to see in the city and the staff was always incredibly helpful with all our queries. The hostel itself is a little shabby in places and the breakfast could use a bit of improvement, but other than that, you can't fault it. Great price, would probably book again if I return to Dublin.

Room Tip: Always contact the hostel directly through email so they can help you pick the best possible room. W...
