“Excellent activity while visiting Dublin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 January 2014

As part of a three day visit to Dublin from the UK between Christmas and New Year with two typically easily bored teenage children, we decided, after researching the best things to do in the City, to visit Croke Park and had pre-booked the Skyline Tour. We arrived by taxi after a short ride from the centre of Dublin. The entrance is not very well signed and the surrounding area is rather run down so we wondered whether we had made the right decision to make this visit. However, as soon as we walked into the museum we realised we had made the right choice. Knowing nothing about Gaelic Football or Hurling but having a general interest in sport we were soon learning and becoming interested in the two Irish sports. The Skyline tour itself lasted about 2 hours including the safety briefing and was great fun (if a little cold up on the roof!). The guide was very good - friendly, knowledgeable and interesting. The views of the City were amazing. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The hands on activities upstairs in the museum were some of the best I have found in years of visits to museums and venues like this (suitable for anyone from about 5-75 years old they proved great fun for all of us). We stayed for about 3 hours in total and easily found a cab back to the city on the main road which is about two minutes walk from the door. This attraction is highly recommended and together with the Guinness Storehouse, a definite highlight of our Dublin visit.

“Windy, but wow factor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2013

We had pre booked this tour and were pleasantly surprised that it was still going ahead as it was so windy. No need for panic as there is a safety briefing and you are fitted with a harness... Up in the lift to almost the top of the stadium ( the remaining stairs are not for the faint hearted) where you attach your harness to the structure and make your way round, taking in amazing views of every imaginable part of Dublin, stopping at vantage points along the way, including a glass walkway overlooking the stadium itself... excellent and emotional. My only issue was that I couldn't really hear what the guide was saying because I was near the back of the line and the wind was really playing havoc, but you are provided with headphones and a recorded guide so sure I didn't miss out. Back on steady ground, the GAA Museum is worth a look. Again some emotional history and interactive displays for kids, big and little!

I done the tour during the heatwave in July. The great weather and excellent knowledgeable tour guide made the trip very enjoyable. It is a great way to find your bearings in Dublin and see a lot in one go.

“Well worth the visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

I did the skyline tour during the midterm. Luckily it was a clear, sunny morning and the views were great. Our tour guide John Joe was excellent. As there was only 5 in total on this tour, he was able to go into detail on any questions we had about any of the sites in any direction. He was very knowledgeable and showed a genuine interest. After the tour was finished we had a spot of lunch in the cafe, which was nice, nothing fancy but filled us up for our journey down the country.
