“Irish History on display”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014 via mobile

Having been out in the countryside of Ireland to tombs, monastic sites, castles, etc it was wonderful to see the artifacts of the people who inhabited those locations. We only made it through the south side of the building in around 2 hours. This area, with the craftsmanship displayed from as far back as 1000BC, was well worth the time we put in. The museum, like most in Dublin, is free. Clearly a first tier, must do for time in Dublin.

“A lot to see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2014

We went as my son has just started studying archaeology at Uni. I found this to be very interesting indeed covering 1000's of years of history. Well presented exhibits, many of which are stunning pieces of work. a good chance I will visit this again on next trip. Not to far from teh Hop-on/Hop-off bus stop - either north side or south side of museum.

“Good but crowded”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014

They have an amazing collection and I loved the exhibit. The Egyptian section was particularly fascinating. We spent an hour and a half or so wandering thru the exhibits and we left with a list of things to research more deeply at home. The only problem is that as a free museum they were pretty crowded and the building isn't big enough to fit everyone comfortably. We probably would have spent longer if there were more room to move around.

“Lots to see”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2014

The museum was easily accessed from the Hop on N Go bus route. A great place to spend a rainy day. Lots to see and filled with many different parts of our human ancestors.
