Fascinating history of Ireland and her conquerors. Hard to believe the artisan skills in construction, and weapon and jewelry making that were already established in this time period.

What a fantastic museum! A treasure trove of history located in a beautiful building, with well-thought-out displays and a sensible progression. The Irish gold and the Treasury are right before you as you enter, so you can see the highlights of the collection right away, if you are short on time. The well-known treasures do not disappoint. The special exhibit about the Battle of Clontarf was fascinating. It's hard to believe that it's all free! A "must-do" for sure!

This is a Lovely museum right across the street from our hotel, the Buswell Hotel.
Lots of interesting artifacts, stories, and eras.
Didn't use it, but there is a cafe.
Worth a visit!
Free, so please give donations!

This was a nice way to spend an afternoon in Dublin. It was within walking distance of our hotel the Westbury, and it was interesting wandering through the exhibits. Not overly crowded either.
