If nothing else, you will be astonished at the caches of gold jewelry from hundreds and thousands of years ago. Museum gives you a great overview of Ireland's prehistory through some beautiful and interesting artifacts and displays, including several "bog people".

Maybe we were tired from our flight from the US, who knows. We were expecting to enjoy the museum and get a crash course on the history of Ireland. After a few displays and rooms I was done. It all just seemed to blend together.

Maybe we were tired.

I wanted to see the preserved bog bodies but there was so much more. After a trip to all the sights around Newgrange and the Hill of Tara, this tied it all together. It's free too so there's no reason not to stop by.

The building housing the museum was by far the attraction in my opinion. The museum itself was okay, the bog people were the best. The building was just so beautiful itself that it stole the show.

Stop by and learn of the old Dublin history. Lots of interesting displays and artifacts. I especially liked the story of Dublin's Viking heritage. There are many other things to experience in the area.
