Owner description: A very warm welcome to one of Ireland's finest golf links. We have history and wonderful golfing tradition here - but better than that, we have a fabulous golfing challenge over a magnificent links course. And when the golf is done, our clubhouse offers the ideal place for enjoyable relaxation. Our visitors are always welcomed by our friendly staff and we look forward to your visit to our Club. Located on Bull Island, which also houses a bird sanctuary and nature reserves, this golf course is one of the oldest in Ireland, dating back to 1885.

This is one of the best links golf courses within a stones throw of Dublin city centre.
Bar,dining and pro shop facilities are first class.
If you want to treat yourself, dont wait any longer.

“gteat place to start our tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2012

I recently took 16 guys to Dublin from Gibraltar for a golfing trip. Our first course was Royal Dublin and what treat to start with.
This course is very flat and easily walked for those who don't have any mobility issues. The fairways are pretty generous throughout and the rough is not too long and you can find your ball - beware though, it grabs!!
The buggies at this place are brilliant, they even have proper doors!
One thing that did let it down was the number of speed bumps on the road into teh club, I appreciate it winds through the course and they need traffic to be slow. however there are far too many really. Anyway, dint spoil the day 1 bit, we had a brilliant time.
The pro shop is well stocked and the bars is warm and welcoming.
Although we were in may, we had a short 2 minute hale storm and a shower for about 10 minutes, but other than that we just had the wind to contend with. thankfully it wasn't blowing a gale but it was strong enough!
Great golf course and will suit all abilities.
