My son and his friends loved this place. Loud rock music, very lively. Prices are more reasonable than the Temple Bar area.

I visited the Thomas House in Dublin for the first time this weekend and it was a great place.
I just love the type of music and people's style at this bar. I like rock and roll and rockabilly style and this is one of little places in Dublin where you can find it!!! I highly recommend to stop for a pint at the Thomas bar!

You can come here any nite of the week for a few bevies and enjoy good sounds. The music changes every nite from Rockabilly, psychobilly, rock and roll, punk ,ska, jazz, blues, soul and every other type of music you can think of. What a melting pot and a great place to meet new and old friends. The place is "as you find it" and the staff are top drawer, as is Kevin, the boss.
There is a welcome for all anytime the doors are open and it's on the tourist trail between Christchurch and the Guinness brewrey. So give your feet a rest and suck up the suds in an atmosphere of "laid back limbo" for a while and just watch the world pass by. You could also ask about swimming with the fish in the "Bar Aquarium". Not something you could do just anywhere and see the world from the prospective of a tropical fish. Get in there...now. pboylan@eircom.ie

I absolutely love this place, great atmosphere, music and good drinks selection (plus it's cheaper than a lot of other bars, which is brilliant). Definitely worth a visit especially if you're into alternative music (punk, rockabilly, goth etc).

This pub offers such a range of music (both live and canned) that there will be something to suit you, no matter what your taste in music is. Rock and roll, rockabilly, punk, ska, soul, blues and much more.Just check out the weekly listings to see whats on.Kevin, who runs the pub is spot on and will go out of his way to see you have a good visit. He has a great selection of local and imported brews and spirits to suit all palates. Visit his aquarium while you are there and see a vast array of tropical fish. The Thomas house is in the vacinity of most of the Dublin 8 tourist attractions and is on the open topped tourist bus route. Guinness's brewrey,Christ church and Patricks cathederal are within walking distance. The Royal hospital,Kilmainham jail and the the war memorial gardens are nearby. No visit to Dublin 8 is complete till you have sampled the delights of what the Thomas house has on offer. Pboylan@eircom.ie.
