“Recommended by a lad at the Leprechaun Museum...Seconded by me!”

I'd wandered past this place on Saturday night, marvelling at the Kegs with wooden pallets on for tables out front, and at the advice of a gentleman tour guide from the Leprechaun Museum, stopped off in Cassidy's en route to the Mongolian BBQ...I LOVED IT!

It was rammed with Arcade Fire fans pre gig, and the bar staff were playing the band's records to warm folk up for the show (a nice touch!)...What struck me was the sheer volume of beers on tap, bottled and spirits on offer! Definitely diverse enough for anyone to find a beverage of choice (my personal favourites were Erdinger and lots of Redbreast whiskey!) and with offers going too, no-one was going to struggle for ammo to get loaded!

The decor in the pub was also of interest to me...Graffiti covered walls (and lamps!) with signatures and messages from patrons of the past, there were old comfy chairs, bunting, board games, Star Wars memorabelia (apparently a thing the owner has!) and candles everywhere.

The staff were ace, and the music was excellent...If I lived in Dublin, i'd probably owe them rent money!

Great location - easy to get a faxi from at 2am! Serve a nice pint. Music and decor is indie/rocky and loud which suits me! Typical Irish bar staff - the best in the world!

Pretty tame - definitely "quirky". Overall the beers are the same (and same price) as anywhere else. They do carry certain JW beers that are nice - although JW's is just up about 100ft up on Burgh Quay so it’s nothing special. My view may be slanted since all of board games they had were missing pieces - just wanted to play connect four!! Anyway - good place for a pint and DEFINITELY get the pizza...SO good.

Staff are very friendly, was busy the night we went in but still had time to go through the list of available beers, board games and good music make this pub a great experience.

Bring a marker so you can sign your name on the wall (it's ok they don't mind) :)

Excellent, quirky bar and often free crisps/sweets handed out! 10e for a pint and the most delicious pizza tops it all up! Very friendly staff and excellent location beside Temple Bar should you find a reason to move! Defo one of my favourite bars in Dublin
