I'd wandered past this place on Saturday night, marvelling at the Kegs with wooden pallets on for tables out front, and at the advice of a gentleman tour guide from the Leprechaun Museum, stopped off in Cassidy's en route to the Mongolian BBQ...I LOVED IT!
It was rammed with Arcade Fire fans pre gig, and the bar staff were playing the band's records to warm folk up for the show (a nice touch!)...What struck me was the sheer volume of beers on tap, bottled and spirits on offer! Definitely diverse enough for anyone to find a beverage of choice (my personal favourites were Erdinger and lots of Redbreast whiskey!) and with offers going too, no-one was going to struggle for ammo to get loaded!
The decor in the pub was also of interest to me...Graffiti covered walls (and lamps!) with signatures and messages from patrons of the past, there were old comfy chairs, bunting, board games, Star Wars memorabelia (apparently a thing the owner has!) and candles everywhere.
The staff were ace, and the music was excellent...If I lived in Dublin, i'd probably owe them rent money!
