“Cosy, Comfortable and Convenient”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2014

Stayed here during the summer for 2 weeks when I was travelling Europe and was pleasantly surprised. It had everything that I needed, bedrooms are clean and comfortable with an en suite, also had wifi included.

There is also a nice and very large sitting room with digital TV, lovely couches and a fireplace.

You have your own cooking facilities and access to a full kitchen but a European breakfast is also available at no extra charge (tea, coffee, cereal, croissants, toast, fruit etc.)

It is a very central location and I would definitely reccomend it to a friend as its great value for money and very convenient.

This is a comfortable affordable guesthouse in Rathgar village, there is a bus stop at entrance gate that goes to city centre every 20 minutes. The reception has a time timetable or down load it.
Rathgar village is a two minute walk with shops and cafés. I got my hair done and met friends in local restaurant bijou, very nice. And the receptionist in guesthouse allowed my friends to park in Zion hall grounds and we walked down to village,

Breakfast was buffet p, fruit bread and coffee as much as you wanted served in old room with beautiful high ceilings and fire place with antique furniture ( house is 150 years old) lots of charm.
This room is also used for guests to read during the day.

Downside not suitable for children, no children under 16 I was told. Although small pets allowed.
Ideal for couples on. Budget or a sole traveller
As I could not find cheaper in Dublin 2/4/6 and city centre
Safe area and nice walks and close to city

Taxi to airport 25 euro as guesthouse said they do deal with local company, and 10 euro to city centre depending on time of day

I would stay again on my own or with a partner as a good base to see Dublin and visit friends

Room Tip: Ask for a room in new extension, upstairs rooms are warmer and have tea, coffee making facilities ju...

This place is nothing like the pictures on the advert. What it actually is something that resembles a nursing home. The place smells like a dog due to a permanent mangy dog feature on the stairs every day and people also smoke inside resulting in very bad air quality. Breakfast is just bread and basic stale cereal. Rooms are paper thin and you hear everything from the room next door.

The owners are money hungry, liars, cold and unfriendly - so don\t expect any kind hospitality here! After initially agreeing a price for two, they then lied and said that it was never agreed upon subsequently proceeding to shower us with personal insults after trying to charge us an extra 80 Euro/wk. There are other options to stay short term closer to town, bigger, nicer and for alot less than this place charges. Would not return or recommend to friends.

I am Catherine the owner of the Guesthouse would like to inform that during this customer's stay in 2014 the B&B was was under different Management and we had few problem running the guesthouse for customer's expectation. From 1st March 2015 Zion Hall renovated under new management and made all shared bathrooms to en-suite new booster for wifi connection refurbished communal kitchen to high standard with all facilities also provide laundry service. We have separate build area for smocking and beautiful garden. Also we have large space for free parking. Bus stop just front of the house.
