We found out about the place and it's hidden door but every time we tried to get in they were full. Finally managed it for a friends birthday and the cocktails were amazing - something with a chocolate flavour - really delicious. Not cheap and we only stayed for one but really loved the décor of the place, feels like you are back in the 1940's - something a bit different and only just off Temple Bra - quite a contrast!

We had a number of very delicious, well made and well presented cocktails here. The choice and help from the waiting staff was great. We seated at the upper floor in the covered outdoor area which was very comfortable. We ordered the large bowl of chicken wings which were not nice and I would not recommend them, but who cares about chicken wings when the cocktails are so good.

Atmosphere groovy, cocktails ok, service atrocious. We ran late because we had trouble finding it even with google maps. We were greeted by a terribly stroppy young lady who said, "you're almost a half hour late. You MUST leave at 8:00." The waitstaff were all running around like blue tailed flies. I complained about the grumpy girl at the end when we paid €28.00 for TWO cocktails. Oddly the waitress hugged me. Random. They added a 10% service charge when the service was abysmal. Get new staff in VCC or your business will suffer. No surprise they are low on Trip advisor. In Dublin 11 years and there are MANY better venues

By far this 1920's style speakeasy had the best food we ate while in Dublin. Not to mention the unbelievable drinks. Its second floor location is hidden away on one of dublins busiest streets in the Temple bar district but is quite easy to find once you know what your looking for. Reservations are a must on the weekend and if possible you should reserve for food as well (you need to specify that you would like to eat and drink, or just drink). The decor was cozy and fit the "speakeasy style" and the bartenders where able to whip up custom creations to suit your needs with ease. If we ever find ourselves in Dublin again, this is a place we will definitively be back to. Go here, you'll thank us.

My friend and I arrived here and found a seat on the roof terrace after a few minutes. We studied the menu for a good 15 minutes as there was so much choice but were not approached by any staff during this time. When we were ready to order I caught the attention of a waiter and we order two €12 drinks. While we were waiting another waitress approached us and told us she was sorry but the table we were at was booked at 10pm, it was 5 to 10 at this point. She said maybe they'll be late but we'll look after you. They weren't late and her idea of "looking after us" was to put us at another reserved table in the hope that they will actually be late. Needless to say we drank our overpriced punch as fast as we could and got out of there.
