“Cant wait to go again .....”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

First time here and definitely not the last. Already planning a trip back. Secret little door adds to it! Only had drinks, so not sure what food is like. So many different types of alcohol. Something for everyone!!

“What a find”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

With no advertising to find out anything about this place, is by word of mouth only, we were lucky enough to have one of our group in the know. I have read conflicting reviews but all i can say is we had a blast, knock on the door and hope they let you in, however you can book in advance when you book you have the table for two and a half hours, we took the chance although we went just after 6pm and were lucky to be taken although we only had the table for about an hour, first of all we were served by a lovely girl from Belfast, she told us she is normally behind the bar, she gave us plenty of time to study the menu, then came over to see if she could be of assistance, with so many cocktails to chose from we were spoilt for choice, with her help we all ordered a delicious cocktail, now people say they are expensive at 12 euro, however we paid 10 euro else were and we did not get the atmosphere and ambiance that we got in the vcc. we then decided to have some nibbles, we had chips, monzerilla balls and chicken wings between us, portions were large and we had plenty. The decor of the place is old Victorian, old red candles on the tables, lots of pictures etc, gave me the feeling of what an old gentleman's club in the past would have been like (we were all girls) but you had the feeling of naughty but nice. there were lots of couples there, as well as small groups, i so want to go again and take others to enjoy the quirkiness, a place totally different from the rest of temple bar, but located right in the heart of it - Find it - don't expect to sit all night cause when your times up its up - enjoy Almost forgot we were giving a small complementary glass of sparkling wine while we cruised the menu making up our minds - cant wait to go again for that feel good feeling (don't have the phone number but did see it on Google)

“1920s Oldstyle hidden gem”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

This place is a little hidden gem, odd menu in that there are only a few food options particularly for the main course.
The last couple of visits we have opted for sharing starters to give ourselves the better options.
The food is really tasty, quirky and really enjoyable, last Friday we had the pleasure of being looked after by a lovely northern irish girl who really took care of us. We later went to the terrace for cocktails and made our way through quiet a few.
I love this place, perfect for couple or girly meals with pals.
One small downfall was the cheeseboard, very expensive for two small slices of cheese. I
t can be quiet expensive for dinner and drinks but its worth it as the special treatment you receive makes the experience very enjoyable.

“3 attempts before we got in but it was worth it for the cocktails”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

We found out about the place and it's hidden door but every time we tried to get in they were full. Finally managed it for a friends birthday and the cocktails were amazing - something with a chocolate flavour - really delicious. Not cheap and we only stayed for one but really loved the décor of the place, feels like you are back in the 1940's - something a bit different and only just off Temple Bra - quite a contrast!

“Fantastic cocktails, awful chicken wings”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

We had a number of very delicious, well made and well presented cocktails here. The choice and help from the waiting staff was great. We seated at the upper floor in the covered outdoor area which was very comfortable. We ordered the large bowl of chicken wings which were not nice and I would not recommend them, but who cares about chicken wings when the cocktails are so good.
