Stayed here through groupon to see a show at the Bord Gais theatre. Great base for exploring dublin as it is so close to the main areas. Friendly staff, very clean rooms, delicious breakfast and dinner with a buzzing bar downstairs! Main thing is the noise but it is to be expected when you're so close to everything. Hotel provided ear plugs and beds were really comfy so had a great nights sleep in spite of the noise!

Thank you for your feedback. At Dublin Citi Hotel we are always trying our best to provide the best customer service possible. The room are regularly inspected to make sure everything is in place. We have a 24/7 maintenance and housekeeping staff to take care of all our customer needs.

Having an in house bar and restaurant is an added bonus to our guests. We have live music with well known bands everyday. In addition, all the guests get free entry into the nightclub and also great offers on food and beverages.

We greatly appreciate your feedback and hope to see you soon again

We stayed here on a groupon break for 2 nights. The location was excellent for sightseeing and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was basic and could do with updating. The food in the bar was standard bar food but very good. The huge problem with this hotel is the noise. We were in room 106 which was not only bedside the main road but also above the bar which had live music music each night. The hotel provided ear plugs in the room but they were little help. The curtains also did little to keep the street lights out.

We apologise for the inconvenience cause. Our maintenance and housekeeping staff are very committed in keeping the rooms and the premises clean and tidy at all times.

As we are situated on a busy city centre road, there can be traffic noise which is why we provide earplugs for your convenience.

We will take your review under serious consideration and make sure no such inconvenience is caused to any of our guests.

The hotel is on Dame street, in temple bar, 2 minutes away from Trinity College, Dublin Castle, the Tesco (shop) and the tourism office, and 5 minutes away from O'Connel street and its Spire. By night, the neighborhood is a little bit noisy (and the windows in the room are very thin), but if you spend your days walking and enjoying what Ireland has to offer (which is very very beautiful), you will have no trouble falling asleep. Plus, the hotel gives earplugs. The beds are very comfortable.
The staff is very nice, polite and helpful. The room is cleaned every day and the towels are replaced everyday too. I spent 4 nights in a twin-bed bedroom, and I found the shower to be a little bit small and narrow, but the temperature of the water was great. You can also make tea in the room, have free wifi access and watch TV (but you can't turn the sound up or down).
You can receive calls from relatives in your room for free, and if the heating doesn't work, someone comes to fix it within 5 minutes.
If you are coming from Europe, you need an adaptor to reload your phone battery. You can buy it for 4 euros only at "value 4 you" near the Spire. (it's more expensive in the tourists' shops).
There is a lift in the hotel so you don't have to carry your luggage through the stairs. And you can leave your luggage if you are too early for the room or if you're leaving Dublin later than noon.

The location is perfect being right in the middle of Dublin, especially for anyone on a short break as we were. Step out of the front door of the hotel and you are pretty much in the 'thick of it all'. The staff were all very friendly, the rooms basic but clean and functional. The only down side was the street noise at night which i feel may be slightly unfair to mention as having stayed in other hotels in Dublin, street noise seems to be the norm. The food in the restaurant 'Trinity Bar' was absolutely fantastic! The evening meal 5 star and the breakfast, 'full Irish', the best i have had anywhere! Oh did i mention the staff and how friendly and accomodating they were. I would definately stay in the Dublin Citi Hotel again and recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for a room at the back of the hotel, could be a little less street noise.

The best thing about Dublin Citi Hotel is its location , slap bang in the center of Dublin city , the hotel itself is a fabulous old building with great charm , the one staff member we met at reception was very friendly and efficient , we cant comment on the Nightclub or restaurant as we only used the hotel to sleep in , the room was small and basic , but clean and overall comfortable , only gripes ware the very creaky bed ( it was very comfortable ) the lack of blackout curtains and the noise form the street outside , which i guess is to be expected .

If you are not bothered by the noise during the night this is a very good place to stay in Dublin. Its location its definitely one of the strengths of this hotel as it is close to Trinity College, Temple Bar and not far from the Guinness Storehouse. Having free wireless in the rooms is also a plus for who needs to check work e-mails regularly.

There have been so many wonderful reviews of this property, I was afraid I could only attest to them all. However, when my son and his family entered their room to find a toddler robe, slippers and baby bath products for my two-year old grandson - I knew that I could honestly assure everyone that the service at thedublin citi hotel is unmatchable.

The remarkable staff assisted me in planning my son's return from Afghanistan and family trip every step of the way. They were responsive to every request and question. My son reported that the room was incredibly comfortable and the location was perfect. Thanks to the citi hotel it was a perfect trip!
