We came to Dublin for my husband's work and this hotel was convenient for him. It is a decent, but doable hike to any of the city attractions. The staff is friendly and the housekeeping staff does an excellent job. There is a health club with pool and hot tub on the lower ground level which hotel guests are welcome to use. There is a hotel restaurant with ok food. It is a walk to get to any of the better places. It is great if you are here for business, but if it's vacation you might want somewhere closer to the action.

We spent 4 nights here in November as a base for sightseeing in Dublin. It is 25 minutes easy walk from Trinity College and from the National Concert Hall, and very close to other attractions that weren't doing anything special at the time. The room was large and comfortable, the plumbing worked well and the swimming pool and gym were good - the pool is long enough to do length swimming. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The area it is in is recently developed. The quaysides are newly developed and make for a pleasant walk into the centre of Dublin. The streets behind the Hotel are less developed but seem safe and are a good place for takeaways. A Dublin Bus pass works for the airport bus which serves all of the centre of Dublin and stops just at the other end of the the Samuel Beckett bridge from the hotel every 15 minutes (20 on Sundays) from early to late.

Room Tip: We were at the back, on the second floor, and there was some outside noise, but it was no problem...

Stayed here Saturday 24/11/12 for the Ireland game. Hotel first class and the staff really helpful. Rooms spacious and very clean. Kids had a ball in the pool. Breakfast was really filling with loads of choices from your hearty cooked one to cereals to fruit to platter etc

Cannot fault at all and only a 10 min walk to either Aviva or town centre itself

My wife and I stayed at the Maldron for 4 nights. We arrived very early on a Friday morning and the staff was so helpful and attentive. They checked in our bags and told us a room would actually be ready in a couple of hours. One of the staff provided my wife and I with complimentary coffee and a voucher for the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast but we opted to walk to the city center for breakfast. Nice location for walking to most areas of the city. A 15- 20 minute walk pretty much to the major attractions in Dublin. We enjoyed walking down the Liffey from the hotel. The hotel is located in a business area and is very quiet at night. Most evenings my wife and I walked back to the hotel along the Liffey and felt relatively safe. One night we did stay out late and opted to take a cab back to the hotel. We did not have any issues with the Wi-Fi in our room. Convenient find for me was a Spar down the street from the hotel on the backside of the theater on Hanover Quay. Helped when I needed some incidentals and they were open most nights until about 10pm and Sunday as well. They also had very good coffee shop open in the morning in the shop. There were a few minor annoyances but not worth mentioning as the service received by the hotels employees eclipsed these little annoyances.

Room Tip: The balcony was lovely. we read on TA to request a balcony and glad we did so.

This hotel provides a great service right in the heart of Dublin. The location is fantastic, only a short walk from the city center and we were delighted with the friendly atmosphere from the staff in the hotel. The room was spacious and very clean. The restaurant had a nice selection of food on its menu and we were very happy with the attention that we were given. If we return to Dublin again we will stay here, it was great, and very good value.

A good location if you're going to the convention centre. A little out of the centre. Great leisure centre, the best I've been in so far in a hotel in Irelend. A good area for jogging too...
Breakfast is very good. Staff v friendly and helpful.
I arrived late one evening to find there was a problem with a noisy flickering light in my room - rang reception and the manager himself came up to sort it within 10 mins. How's that for service?!

We stayed here for a rugby match at the Aviva stadium. It was in an ideal location, half way between the train station and the stadium. The hotels adjacent to the river. A short walk straight down the river brings you to Temple Bar, a little further brings you to the city centre. Adjacent to the financial district, it's a very clean and well developed area.

The room was tidy and modern. We arrived to find a bowl of fresh fruit and bottled water waiting for us. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and unlike many hotel bathrooms, didn't get flooded with water everytime you take a shower. The TV in the room also had most UK and Irish free to air channels.

The restaurant served superb meals and there was a good selection of food for breakfast.

All the staff were friendly and attentive and were keen to help.

I couldn't recommend the Maldron more, I'll definitely be staying here the next time I visit Dublin.
