The Maldron on Cardiff Lane is a really good hotel in a good location. We have stayed twice in recent months and were very impressed both times. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. The food is good and the leisure centre great for kids and adults, most city centre hotels don't have a pool. We would dfeinitely stay in the Maldron again.

We stayed at the Maldron on a great value two night package which included breakfast on each morning and dinner in the hotel on one of the evenings. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive. The bedroom was spotless and a great size with a balcony. The pool and leisure facilities were also fantastic and the staff were very helpful. Great to pop down to to relax after walking round the city. At only a ten minute walk to O'Connell Street its a great location and handy for buses and trains. Definitely recommend it and will hopefully be back!

I spent 3 nights here with a mate, and we had such a fantastic time.
All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and very helpful (including housekeeping staff).

The location for us was ideal as we enjoyed our 20 min walk into the city, and was far enough from the noise of the city centre to get a great nights sleep. Cleanliness was excellent, and it was such a treat to have the swimming pool. I cannot comment on the food as I wasn't up early enough to eat.

The only problem I had was trying to use the internet in the room the TV wouldn't allow full view of the web page so couldn't read my emails on yahoo. I don't know if this was because of settings, anyway I contacted staff and they didn't charge for it. So all was rectified.

Shall definately be back with my family.

We stayed at the Maldron Hotel Cardiff Lane Dublin for 4 nights in January 2010.
The hotel itself is very new. There is a pool, sauna, spa, lounge area with internet access and a bar.
Our room was a really good size with room for a little table with two chairs. The room was nice and clean as was the bathroom.
The hotel was really good value for money. It is not right in the center of Dublin, it was about a 20 minute walk. There is a bus stop about a 5 minute walk away and we caught a taxi into the city for about 7 Euros.
There isn't a lot to do near the hotel, but there are a couple of takeaway restaurants and a small supermarket.
No mini fridge, but it was winter when we were there so we kept our drinks cold on the balcony.

The Hotel reception dose not look very large from the outside but as you get into the hotel it just seems to get bigger. When we were there the weather was very cold with lots of snow on the ground but a warm welcome was awaiting us & the check in was very quick. Our room was on the 6th floor looking out over a new office block being built. No one was working as it was a weekend but soundproofing is good so I don’t think it would be a problem. I was surprised to find out the room went out onto a balcony with seating etc & you had a view of the River Liffey from there.
The room was large with two comfy chars & a table. The beds were also very comfy. The bar was good but with big rotary doors going straight into the bar from the outside if you sat in the wrong place it was very cold because of the weather.
One very small point there was a good selection of tea & coffee in the room but packets of biscuits would have been nice.
